Need help understanding how WPS works with flat damage portion of DAR

Thanks Gnuff, I had drawn the wrong conclusions and your comment made me dig a bit deeper and do some more testing with dummies.

Previously I had used lvl9 reaping strike for testing (faster proc, less time testing). The flat damage (vit+aether) of reaping strike was a major portion of my damage, hence +30% poison global modifier wasn't a noticeable jump.

I now used lvl1 RF and lvl1 RS, and tried acid RF with only a 2handed physical weapon with +phys and %phys. I had +24 vitality from the bat devotion, but it had such small effect, it was not an issue.

40 strikes, average RS damage 471
Then I slapped a vitriolic gallstone on the weapon. VG is great because it gives 100% global acid damage, +4 acid, and rest is poison, which is easy to distinguish from actual RS hit damage.
Result: average RS damage 652.
Considering flat damage from RF and RS, the results confirm that DAR conversion happens before it is used in WPS abilities.

In conclusion:
When you use RF with conversion and proc WPS:
i) adding all global flat damage to weapon damage (amulets etc.)
ii) weapon damage phys/fire conversion to acid/vitality
iii) multiply weapon damage by RF charge level
iv) use weapon damage as the base weapon damage for RS
v) add skill effects separately to RS
-this means things like flat damage and chance to confuse are added to the final hit, and the only way to modify these are global conversion, or transmuters for RF and WPS.
-AFAIK the flat damage from RF changes with charge level, but charge level doesn't affect flat damage from RS.

Also I now hate Cadence, because all the conflicting information about DAR conversions came from people asking about Cadence, which is a special case, where cadence cannot proc WPS.
