I don't know why you're suggesting to ban anything. Steam is one of the biggest ♥♥♥♥ holes of a forum I've come across in quite some time.

On this next deep desert wipe, they'll be adding more T6 resources to the PvE areas of the deep desert, hopefully meaning far fewer interactions between PvE players and PvP players. Since the PvP players only play to gank the PvE players and not fight each other, I assume they'll all quit.

You got things reversed.

Once PvE players get their T6 resources and gear, they have essentially beat the game and have no content until the next DLC.

Those who PvP will continue to do so.

It's fun dueling friends and figuring out combos.

There is no truth to what you're saying about the PvP community.

The reality is that we're all going to step away from Dune Awakening until we get more endgame content.

Almost everyone PvPing around is only ganking or just screwing around as safely as possible. There's plenty of truth, the PvP community you're talking about is at best a niche clique that doesn't really even exist on most servers.

The vast majority of players don't even want to PvP anyway.

CS has the same problems, bots play to farm items that can be sold on the market. CS has weekly drops that incentifies such behavior, people create VM's and run 20+ bots at the same time. It's not much money per bot, like 0.3-2$ per week with some random spikes, but it can stack if you know your way around VM and once you make a serious bot farm.

Cause bot doesn't need to run the game at 100FPS, a mere few FPS are enough for each. So you can buy old server hardware with 30 cores and 60 threads and run 60 clients on one 200W CPU and a few old quadro GPU that's designed to be vm'd to hell and has drivers unlocked for it. Power consumption becomes negligible in terms of costs

As long as there's profit from the games, people will use bots to make it.

But for Rust, once again, those spoofed servers use different means to appear to have more players than they do. To my understanding of it, there are no bots involved, it's a server side thing.

At this point i wouldn't be surprised tbh. One of hjunes mates he was playing with threw out a theory that they're versing ai, as a result of some of the strange encounters they had.
