How can I stop getting so worked up when I'm possibly in danger?

Whenever I enter particularly dangerous areas, such as military bases, or if I hear a player nearby, my heart rate often increases, I begin to shiver, and I get a tingle throughout my body similar to while scared, until I've exited the area, or killed/escaped from the player, respectively.

The fact of the matter is, it's just a game. If I die, I die, woopty doo. Start over and try again, it's no big deal. The problem is, my body doesn't seem to understand this. Even though I am not actually "scared," this still happens. This does not happen to me with most games, only DayZ and similar games to it, such as Miscreated (though that game is dead now.)

This only happens when I become aware of a risk that I may be killed by a player. It doesn't happen if I think I might die in some other way, such as starve or get mauled by zombies. Those just annoy me, at worst.

What I wanna know is, how can I stop this from happening? I very much understand the fact that it's just a game, and dying is just a chance to start a new and maybe even do better than my previous life. But knowing this fact, does not stop my heart from beating quicker, or stop me from shivering or tingling like I'm fearing for my life.

Completely normal, and what makes DayZ so unique .. Even in similar games, I never get the adrenaline rush that I do playing DayZ.

For me, it's not even just high-tier areas .. I get that feeling just opening the door to a shed .. you never know what awaits you on the other side unless you take too long to scope out every single structure you enter, which usually ends up in getting sniped because you take too long loitering in dense areas.
