Can't trust anything somebody like that says. They're liable to just make stuff up for attention.

Don't even dream about it. All further changes to lancers will be made only in the direction of decreasing their capabilities. This is done to keep players in the game longer. This is practiced everywhere, even in AAA projects.

This rendering issue has occurred with my setup also, Once out of the 7-8 time I have returned to the game session.

Metallica get officially bad when Load came out. Also, just because some music is bad, doesn't make the other good by comparison. It's just less bad.

The only requirements or considerations for cold snaps is that the current temperature is above freezing, triggering the cold snap will push temperatures below freezing, and it's not on cool down. If those conditions are met the game will generally very quickly trigger one because it has a fairly high probability in the misc event category. It's the inverse for heat wave, it needs to be above freezing and push the temperature into like the 30-40C range. You will typically get a cold snap and/or heat wave (depending on if it's a cold/temperate/hot map) every single year, sometimes twice a year. The game doesn't actually look at crops at any point in the event check.
