Titan Quest II Stability Checklist
(For people who don’t want to crash every 10 minutes)

1. Cooling & Thermals
Keep GPU under ~80 °C and CPU under ~85 °C under load.

Clean dust filters and fans — dust is free performance loss.

Use software like HWInfo or MSI Afterburner to monitor temps in-game.

Consider undervolting your GPU for cooler, quieter performance.

2. Power Supply & Stability
Ensure PSU is good quality and not decades old.

Avoid daisy-chaining PCIe power cables to the GPU if possible.

If crashes happen in multiple games under load, suspect PSU first.

3. Drivers & System Updates
Install the latest GPU drivers (use “Clean Install” in NVIDIA/AMD options).

Update chipset drivers and BIOS — modern games sometimes use newer CPU instructions.

Make sure Windows is fully updated (yes, all the boring optional updates too).

4. Game Settings & VRAM Usage
Check VRAM usage — if you’ve got an 8 GB GPU, avoid max textures at 4K.

Use DLSS/FSR/XeSS to lighten GPU load.

Try adding -dx12 in launch options to force DirectX 12 mode.

Avoid running the game in borderless window with tons of background apps — more memory overhead.

5. Background Software
Disable overlays: Steam, GeForce Experience, Discord, MSI Afterburner’s overlay, etc.

Close RGB control software while gaming (Corsair iCUE, Aura, Mystic Light).

Don’t run extra monitoring tools unless you’re actively diagnosing.

6. File Integrity & Runtime Libraries
Verify game files via Steam/Epic.

Install/repair Visual C++ Redistributables (both x86 and x64).

Ensure DirectX runtime is up to date.

7. Early Access Quirks
Check patch notes — many crashes are fixed in hotfixes (latest is v0.1.1).

If you mod, disable all mods and retest before blaming the base game.

Report reproducible crashes with logs — helps the devs patch faster.

Yep! Looks like cheaters are already appearing! OP might want to change their stance on the secure boot since it didn't do its job.

This happened in the Demo to me, and now it also happens in the game, it crashes when I'm about to start the run.

The reason for why I hadn't come back to The Finals after the tech/beta tests was due to the game modes. I couldn't care much for them, none of my mates like the game, and I am not sweating my balls off for no reason.

Only reason why I've even become mildly interested in the game is cause of Cr1TiKaL and there being TDM.

is it just me or does the game sometimes gets framrate drops, its only when im fighting the bugs it happens, got a fix?
