No, they didn't. To consider anything that was removed "paid content" requires a stretch of the imagination, especially in an industry where "paid content" means a very specific thing.

In the case of self-censorship, it requires the perception of outside pressure, of which there was none here. This was a creative choice, not censorship.

Problem not solved. Reinstate the censored material/give us a toggle, and then we'll say it's resolved. Simple as.

Reminder:
Implementing a toggle would completely undermine the reasons for the update in the first place. They made the changes so the game would better reflect their values. Past decisions they made (some flippantly, some that only became regrettable due to later circumstances developing) led to certain associations the devs did not want in their game on principle. They don't want their game to present a minor's sexual assault as titillating. If they include a toggle, it still does. They don't want their game to be tone-deaf in its depiction of a black man getting severely beaten by cops. If they include a toggle, it still is. They don't want their game casually using Nazi-esque imagery at a time when actual Nazism is on the rise. If they include a toggle, it still does.

There are many other reasons a toggle will not happen, including but not limited to:
- It would make no sense to include a toggle for a set of incredibly minor visual tweaks most people never even noticed occurred.
- Including such a toggle would be confusing for anyone not in the know about culture war nonsense.
- They have literally nothing to gain at this point by including such a toggle.
- It would be a terrible idea to accommodate an angry mob who neither plays nor cares about their game.
- If any toggle would have been added it would have been done long before this point.
- They've already made it very, very clear their decision was final.

We've heard these arguments before and these are failed arguments. Especially some fear of certain imagery. Because if that was the case then violence would have to be taken out because there's real violence in the real world. And even then it's an upside down umbrella. Not Wolfenstein. I can understand you having concerns but it's like you don't listen

yeah it's not a great update. Pistol was the only thing I had left to work on getting and it feels like a waste of time to keep going now. probably just quit until there's new content or anything worth grinding for. Also Billy Mays is just wrong lol it should be expensive but 50k when you've already grinded everything a ton is just awful. Hopefully dev pays attention cuz game is relatively small and players quitting is worth paying attention to :)

The Azena buff is reeeeally not all that, I know this because I have one running at the moment on my SE just to see if it's worth. It's worth it IF you play that character every day, then you get value, but it's nothing crazy at all... I have had ONE unique ember drop that contained actual gold, a WHOPPING 10K! (YIPEEE), and almost every other ember I have gotten, is the small material chest...

It's not pw2, it will NOT get you ahead, your main gold is the still the harder raids, we have the paradise system now that gives out fusion mats like candy, da fk u need azena buff for? it just makes your chaos dungeons and guardian raids a bit more sparkly if you want them to be for a month.
And if you don't play every day, you get a fat ZERO value. It's completely optional.

(The real value in it, is actually something that 90% of the community has never heard of called a "food buff". I know of it because I don't like to waste other peoples time in prog by thinking I'm going to do good but then dying all the time. It costs me a bit of gold, but I bring in "steaks" for a lovely health increase (and a bit of dps from main stat). Well with the Azena buff you get: the best and most expensive steak in the game running 24/7, for a month!
Best believe I'll be pickup it up again when Kazeros arrives, but for you lot it's no issue because you were never interested in running foods since the launch of the game!)

So it's pay for convenience and to gamble :D I mean, makes sense. The game loves rng.

I just got the same issue. I dont have any cheats of any kind and now i cant even play at all. i've just restarted my pc as well and am gonna try again
