1. There are minimums for the size, training, and weapons values that increase as the campaign progresses.

2. When you kill or capture enemy units it decreases the size, training, and weapons values. Capturing has a larger impact because when a unit shatters part of the unit escapes and is not subtracted from the size value. They can't go below the minimums but it helps counteract the reinforcement events and keeps the AI as weak as possible.

The weapons of the units you capture don't matter

3. The way the AI units scale is pretty complicated and the impact can vary from battle to battle. It's possible you are below the minimum amount they can scale down to and that's why you see no change when adding men.

The recon report AI size value isn't actually a minimum or maximum of what the AI can field in any battle. It isn't really a pool at all, it was just represented that way to the player which has caused no end of confusion.

What that value is actually doing is applying a multiplier to the size of AI units. I call it a snowball factor because the higher the value is above the current minimum the larger the impact.

This also means that when you see the AI getting 50k reinforcements, most of the time it's only impacting the actual size of enemy units by a few percentage of points as a large chunk of those numbers were just getting the value back up to the minimum.

In practice, as long as you're keeping it within 30-40k of the minimum it isn't doing much. When you get into the 60k+ range it can start to add up, though this may be as much that the players army is likely weaker because they have killed less and gained less XP and fewer weapons.

In 1.29 I replaced the AI size display with an estimated percentage of how high the size is over the minimum. Hopefully this will lead to less confusion.

The quest checkmark doesn't appear even though I've fed Zirbafur several times. Also, the sprite no longer appears under the colossal tree. It seems like it's inside the tree. I can't complete the quest because of this. Inside the colossal tree, there was also a withered nest, which I accidentally destroyed because, while walking around the tree, the message "nest tumor" appeared. How can I fix this "bug?"? Thanks!

I think it was vanilla 3 I did that to myself on? otherwise very easy "Defend this oil rig or whatever for like, 1 minute worth of killing tops." mission. trying to show off with a back weapon.

That's usually why whenever water is a factor I just slap on a comical amount of missiles/machine guns (or in the case of a few anti-air water missions, sniper rifles).

That's like the only map type that gets me to swap off my Middleweight Bipedal setup (which is basically just a hyper flexible weapons platform with as few compromises between defense and mobility as humanly possible), I don't &$^# around when water is on the table.

Speaking of weird things in that character's save, a certain character appeared on Omega that should only have appeared if the Shepard was from Earth in ME1. My Shepard was from space.

i saw my character as purple but my friends said i was yellow, how do i fix this?
