I remember more than a few Welyn videos with severe RP tone to them all while having a blast on a PvP server. So I do not know if we need to separate that much, it feels weird...

Sure, I play PvE servers when I feel like it and I play PvP when I feel like it, but no one should tell anyone what to do. You meet different people and you have fun.

If Rust is to be competitive, entire base building needs to go out of the game. Completely deleted, there can be a pre-made shelter with 4-8 rooms that can be upgraded the same way by everyone. That would borderline on competitive but it would be competitive.

Who would play that?

And how long do they last on a server before being raided. Like for instance, do you see role players roaming the map selling stuff, no because they would be killed instantly, so it`s only partially role playing. Look at clans they ask for farmers, does that mean the farmers are role playing, or just on there farming to be in a clan, i would assume it`s the latter.

Exactly for it to be a competitive fps game it would have to be barebones, with just monuments and premade buildings.

Just want to clarify, i am not dictating who can play on what server, just saying if there was role play servers then it would suit those that wish to role play, has it meets the requirements better for what they enjoy doing.

It'd be nice as many assets are kinda just wasted being made and never to be shown again.
But I wouldn't trust anything to work properly.
