I don't see any issues here. Unlimited stims should have been gone after game 1. No other resource in the game is unlimited, from ammo to grenades to cash. Why should self-heals be unlimited - especially when there is a whole class dedicated to healing the team?
Backpack items didn't need to be implemented at all because infinite syringes have been a staple since KF1, and no, they didn't need to be removed, especially with enemies as bullet spongy as they are now, even with certain ammo types implemented. Kiting enemies every wave gets tedious and kills the flow of the game compared to the first 2 games. Dunno where you came from, but that is not what made Killing Floor feel like a Killing Floor games. Imagine kiting enemies for so long, even on harder difficulties with modified weapons. Think I'd want to keep doing that just to level up and gain more resources? I don't think anyone would, given the mixed ratings to the game
My dude... NO ONE wants to be infinitely kiting enemies... which is exactly why finite syringes is a solid addition to the game. The more you can self-heal, and the easier it is to self-heal, the more kiting you are going to see.

I'm very aware that infinite syringes have been a staple since KF1. And I'm very aware that they were a very dumb choice that took way too long to rectify. Just because something has been a "staple" doesn't make it good game design. If you hate kiting enemies, then are pro-limited-syringe and you don't even know it yet.
