You can cause an ailment with fire which I believe is called burn. Probably when your foes catch on fire.

I've not played with fire yet in the game.

According to the in-game tutorial, Fire's ailment is indeed called "Burning"

Instead of falling into the trap of constantly sticky-spamming, learn how to use the grenade launcher first. Practice using stock, then use the other ones.

Learn positioning based on the maps you're playing. This comes with experience.

Learn to sticky jump better. Practice on jump maps, even.

Learn when to use sticky spam instead of your grenade launcher and when to set up traps instead. Force yourself to play with the Scottish Resistance if you find yourself sticky spamming too much and neglecting your grenade launcher. That also helps you practice trapping and finding the best spots to place them. (For example, points where you know medics and heavies like to walk through)

Always keep about about 3 - 4 scouts worth of distance away from the enemies. You are worse at exceptionally close range and risk blowing yourself up.

Lead your targets and know how many pipes it takes to kill someone. (2 for scout, 1 if he has candy cane. 2 for soldier, 3 if he has Battalion's Backup. Etc...)

Use stock melee if you're playing pure Demoman. The swords are typically too niche and slow. The Ullapool caber is very finicky and has awful hit-reg, but can one shot light classes if you crouch and hit. The pain train is okay for CP, 5CP or Payload, but makes you take more damage from bullets.

The Eyelander has the potential to make you a menace if you snowball first and then switch to hybrid knight. (A demoman with the eyelander, a shield and grenade launcher, or boots and sticky bomb launcher.)

All in all, just keep playing Demoman and you'll get the hang of it eventually. Remember to move unpredictably too.

Mainly, just have fun. Don't get angry otherwise you play worse. Hope this helps.

It's not the engine that's broken. Windows 7 hasn't been supported by Microsoft in over 5 years; for this reason (and others), no one else supports it either.

It's incredibly likely that your machine is riddled with malware just from being connected to the internet. You should get a new PC or upgrade your OS as soon as possible; Linux is a good option.

Yeah I just unlocked Leo's third ability last night. I *was* looking forward to playing him, but definitely not anymore. Kinda took the wind out of my sails on playing this game to be quite honest. I agree that some nerf was warranted, but you basically might as well have removed him from the game with those changes. I think change the first ability nerf to 30 seconds and completely nix the nerf of the third ability. Until then, I think I'm gonna take a bit of a break from this game for a bit. I've been playing it non-stop for the last few days and I just don't have the motivation after this.

most vac bans right now are just 24 hours cooldowns due to mass report (if the cheaters gets 9 reports in one match it's very likely that it will trigger vac live)

Loving the game so far. Maybe an endless mode/late game scaling "Death's Foundry" that works like the Forge does now for difficulty.

Make the game free to play, we payed for it already and yall got a good amount of money, just make it f2p so it doenst die on us, or 70/80 discount
