Safety encourages community.

Safety has always been used as excuse to limit people`s freedom and rights.

High crime sucks. Death sucks.

A community can't prosper in a high crime area.

Most people want safety.

The most jarring thing I've seen, the thing that made me ask myself 'should I just uninstall this?' in a serious manner, was when an enemy apostle first engaged one of my apostles in a magical wizardry combat with lightning bolts. I love fantasy and Elder Scrolls and all the magical fantasy nonsense but Civilization, in the past, wasn't fantasy-based. Civ II and Civ III aimed for realism even though they were technically limited. The franchise has gotten sillier and sillier. It is not aimed at me or people who were teens in the 90s or older. My own children were attracted to the graphics but I'm not sure who these games are aimed at anymore. Are they trying to compete with mobile games? The content is loosely historical but there's so much silliness that anything serious is undermined at every turn. The tone of the game is inconsistent. I don't think the modern developers understand what this series was about in the 90s.

I did actually found not necessary a logic error, but a missing scenario for witness being unable to see card blocked by witch, which should be possible if its a next to the last card.

Witch doesn't block a card, it blocks YOU if there's one card left, so it doesn't trigger Witness.

It's not needing nerf. Did it with Raider and Recluse+Arrow (not ideal combo, Wylder/Raider is usually best combo at least) and had 0 heals left but it was just enough.

They should at the very least warn everyone to make backups and be ready (and warn us in game ! Not just on their game page or their site or YT channel or whatever), if just remove a beta script can have such massive consequences for the vanilla game (I don’t play mods and I didn’t test the siege rework either) and the savefiles of everyone, they should at least warn us all in advance and make sure we took dispositions to be ready for this reboot of everything.

Nothing changed in regards to the non-beta branch. Whatever happened was either a steam cloud save problem, or entirely on your end.

Him I find that very suspicious it happens at the exact moment they remove access to a beta script, without any other problem or reason to explain it (no other game, no breach on my pc, nothing, etc).

Btw, it happened the exact same way 2years ago as well when they removed the beta at that time (can’t remember what that beta was about ? Maybe the previous issue about settlement maps with low appearances of small settlements, but it can be something else, I just don’t remember the reason they made a beta, but I remember very well all my savefiles gone the same way as this time).
2 times in a row without any other explanation, sorry but am gonna keep thinking it’s their fault. lol
No matter the true reason everything is reset and my savefiles erased without I touched the game (and nobody has access to my laptop beside me).

And the steam cloud savefiles were there, but that’s not the problem, that doesn’t change the fact that the base savefiles were gone without explanation.
I had the backups in my folder, why being forced to load all the cloud version and need to save all the 7 campaigns again + quit the game after (for update of the cloud again there next) ?
It goes much faster to copy-past my backups instead.
These didn’t need to log in and save them again.

But I didn’t say the cloud versions were gone, probably should have mentioned the cloud ones were there for clarity.
In anycases, it doesn’t change the fact my savefiles were deleted and all my settings rebooted without reason just at the moment of removal of the current beta.
And that twice on 2years roughly.
The probability of it to have an other explanation is extremely minimal to say the least… no it is linked, really.
Question is why removal of current beta version does that ?
I would be glad to know.
And I don’t mess with core files for modding or anything, my install is straight up standard without anything particular that could explain this.

what's your CPU?
I'm on mostly medium settings on a 1050 ti and get a stable 30fps but only after I upgraded from an i5 to an i7
had massive performance problems prior to that no matter what settings I chose

Well Beta is done. I will see you guys on the Battlefield in October. It's been a real good time. Love the new game. Cant wait to play some Fire Storm. :D
