I can't see how asking me to explain why it's a problem that needs solving can be seen as anything but you claiming that it's a not a problem that needs solving.

You would have understood if you actually attempted to do what I asked, but you never did. Why didn't you?

I'll go over this one final time.

1. In our universe, everything that exists needs to have been created.
2. This is a pattern we see over and over again
3. We know of nothing that breaks this pattern.
4. Something always existing without having been created is a problem for our universe because it breaks the pattern.

1. We know of nothing outside of our universe
2. We have no reason to believe the patterns that exist here exist over there.
3. We have no reason to believe that something always existing without having been created breaks any pattern over there.
4. Therefore, we have no reason to believe that it's a "problem" at all.

Do you understand now?
Yes, you're saying that it's a not a problem that needs solving, because you don't think it's a problem that needs solving.

I don't really buy the first step though, so I'm obviously less convinced. In our universe, I see plenty of stuff that exists that I don't believe was created.

And although this may seem somewhat unintuitive I don't think moving it outside the universe and making the 'stuff' an omnipotent intelligent being instead of some quarks makes this step any more likely or reasonable. That actually seems like a much bigger claim.
