Had the big gaming companies back in the 90s not created the ESRB to moderate themselves, then this would have happened back then, instead of now.

Gaben and everyone else wanted to wipe their hands clean and be a hands off moderated platform. Look how that's working for you?

Sex with Hitler? Loli incest rape games? Can't see how that won't crash down on your parade. (/s)

All that was required was for the "games" and other media that pushed the limit too much to be told "No... that's a bit much. You'll have to find elsewhere."

Now, instead of being hidden away, it's public, and guess what? It's gonna be forced to be hidden away by the public.

This isn't surprising. Ya'll are like "Wha do you mean you're offended by my nazi loli incest rape porn and want to censor me?"

Like, bro. What do you mean, "what do you mean?"

The lol cows wanted to lol and look who's laughing now.

lol cows are mad cows now. Huh?

The few who took it too far are the reason they're burning the forest down to kill the termites. All that was required to prevent this was a bit of moderation to stop an infestation in the first place.

Ok Mr. 700+ hours in Baldur's Gate 3 bestiality simulator. How would you feel if someone was offended and banned that game? You'd

I'll answer that too, because I also own BG3.

I will simply say 'Oh well'. I live by my beliefs, and Larian was prepared to market the game by other means anyways. The title/name 'Baldur's Gate', and the media hype already caused them to make bank years ago without any help from Steam, and the move to this vendor was to Steam's benefit, not Larian's ultimately.

I agree you argument ultimately has no merit other than being flaming rage-bait. Larian would have lost very little not marketing BG3 on Steam, and I likely would not have cared at the time.

Overall, I agree this a CURATION problem which easily could have been avoided, and as someone who dabbled into XXX games, I already understand there are numerous other platforms which cater to XXX content exclusively, and FAR better than Steam.

Aside from any moral grievances, curating XXX fare and fare for children 13+ together on one platform is costing both Steam and payment processors money and it is easy to see why, considering the optics of it.

To me the people who have a problem here fall into two categories; Those who don't understand what is actually happening and are jumping to conclusions, and those here who seem to have some 'bad habits' worth keeping far away from the attention of children.

I did end up being a Quest 3. Wireless is nice but I am not sure how good the quality is in comparison to index wired. It was however half the price of a new index. Also, sometimes I having small stutters when playing Beat Saber (like slight lag and the audio also lags behind a bit).

I am really looking forward buying Valve's new VR headset (whenever that releases)...

You can fix wireless lagging if you include a dedicated 5GHz router in your setup (in AP mode, there are guides for that on YouTube) That router needs to be connected to the PC wired and the Quest 3 must be the only device knowing the password for that wifi. That way, there will be no other traffic on the same channel you are using for VR,eliminating lag completely.

Oh, and that router needs to be in the same room as your VR space, as if the szignál has to go through walls, that's alsó causing lag.

With the described setup, I'm playing lag free for 4 years now (same setup worked wonderfully with Quest 2 as well).

Additional tip: get Virtual Desktop from the Quest store. It will be the best €20 you will ever spend for any Thing VR-related. It has much better UI and features than Airlink. If you still get some lag after including the router, with VD you can even diagnose what might cause it. Of course if everything works well with Airlink, you don't need to buy VD, but I have a friend who has multiple issues with AL after each update, so that's why I'm mentioning this.

As an FYI, I have gotten a TP-Link AXE75 6E router. I have my main router connected to my PC, then another cable from main router to my AXE75 . I have only my Quest 3 connected to the AXE75 (access point) while everything else at home is connected to my main router.
I has improved playability a lot but I do have occasional micro-stutter (perhaps once or twice per song).

I might consider getting virtual desktop, since the micro-stutter happens both with airlink and steamlink (steamlink is easier to use though)
