I think you're mistaken. There's a lot they can do balance wise to fix this.
It's not a symptom of a bad game, it's just two extremely powerful weapons are performing exceptionally well coupled with HoE right now being massive big zed spam past wave 2.

Personally; I'd change the Vulcan's charge to only be a full charge shot. Keep the time to charge like 2-3 seconds and also bring some self-damage to the goons (not that kind) who just stand still and spam fire it.

Makes me wonder what the point of redesigning the wheel was for KF3. If the first 2 games worked, why change it? I think they want to appeal to new players, but all they did was disgust the existing players.

The direction this game has is to waste tons of time, while dangling the different skins and trinkets infront of the players. They engineered this new core gameplay to such point there is no more "just having fun shooting heads" but do everything asap rinse and repeat asap so more "chances" for better gun parts you get. The RNG is the final boss and you are losing the fight with it.

I spend an average of about 2-3 minutes in the hub before I go back into like 2-5 matches where I proceed to have fun shooting heads. Then I go back, tinker with my builds and craft new parts (I don't grind the RNG passives, not until I've maxed the other perks), then go back to having fun shooting heads.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. Some dev teams do that (seems like a complete waste of money, time and resources). There's a lot of devs who worked with Kojima who have nothing but bad things to say about him, some even relieved when he left Konami. And let's not even start with how poorly he treated the translator for the first MGS and later David Hayter.

Nothing wrong with taking breaks. I took my first after like 100 hours. And I took many more, maybe even month or year long breaks.

9~ years later... 4300 hours...

But I will say, it's a game about making goals for yourself. Just find something cool and work for it, like a Warframe you like the look of, or a weapon.

Outside of things in this event costing too much, It's not so bad. I'm getting tired of seeing people accuse and complain in the comments of every game that I play. Get a life.

its good to hear that they are considering match making for the future i do believe lobby browsers with a kick button for host is the best way to go! but thats just what i think!

Do you know the refresh rate on your monitor? V-sync will lock the FPS to your monitor's refresh rate so if it's running at 50Hz, v-sync will cap the FPS to 50. If you have more than one monitor and only one has a slower refresh rate, perhaps the game is syncing to the wrong one.

The fact that the game gets stuck at 50 FPS until you restart is probably a bug though. But you could try to update your GPU drivers, play in exclusive fullscreen and verify game files in Steam to see if that helps.

My two monitors run at 100 Hz and 165 Hz respectively, both of which are set at their max refresh rate in windows settings, so I don't believe that could be the problem.

My GPU drivers are up to date and validating the game files found no errors, however trying to run the game in exclusive fullscreen is... weird. The game still behaves like it's in borderless and restarting after switching to exclusive will just undo the settings change. The same can't be said for windowed mode which works just fine even after a restart, albeit at 50FPS while Vsync is on.
