After a fair amount of playing this game I feel like Militia/Paladin get the best bonuses making the game easy to play through.

They get a + 10 agility amulet in chapter 2. Mages get a + 10 mana amulet and mercs get a + 40 health amulet which aren't as useful early IMO.

Eventually they get a + 8 to strength and dexterity amulet. That is probably the best amulet in the game has it provides 16 total.

There is no pressure to use shrine bonuses early in the game. As a mage you have to use the + 10 strength and dexterity bonuses early in the game or you don't get them. As a merc you loose the + 20 mana shrine bonus if you don't train it. It's a huge issue, but there is less pressure.

Mercs get healing spells which are some of the best spells in the game due to their mana to amount healed ratio. Mercs are relegated to scrolls, healing potions, or bloodfly stingers.

Mages get to have + 5 to strength and dexterity with innos's tears which is a bonus for them.

Mercs get an extra + 15 to strength or dexterity than Militia or Mercs, but it's not until very late in the game. Militia and Mages both get a + 3 strength potion instead.

Mercs get the best melee weapons with the Ore Dragon Slayer and the Large Ore Dragon Slayer. With that said, the Claw of Beliar is about as good as the Ore Dragon Slayer damage wise and has an area of effect magic damage. However, it does lack the + 10 to one handed. If going one handed it seems fairly even here.

Everyone gets access to the best bows and can use them effectively if they wish to do so.

Both the Militia and Mercs get access to the best armor. It is of note that there's and intermediate armor for Mercs for Dragon Armor so you can argue it's easier for Mercs at a certain point until both have the best armor. Mages get the Heavy Fire Mage Robe and an amulet of + 30 to all damage resistance types. That would give them the most fire and magic resistance if they chose to wear it.

Mercs and Mages get an extra + 1 strength stew on the merc farm.

Overall, I feel it's just easier to play Militia. Especially if you use a bow. The + 10 dexterity amulet early on is huge if you're going with a bow. The armor is mostly free once you become a Paladin. The Claw of Beliar is a great free one handed weapon for melee backup to a bow with no strength requirement even though strength helps. Not having spend shrine points early if you don't want to helps with flexibility. It also makes the most sense to me as the main character would want to visit the Paladin's via the path of least resistance. Being a Mage takes years of training as a novice and no guarantee of moving up. Mage is also the hardest because of chapter locked spells. Mercs are not that hard and are pretty close to Militia.

Looked at this as a non fan and the entire lore feels like a mediocre version of Sonic The Hedgehog

Bad Company/BF3/BF4/BF2042 player here.

Sniping – Needs Attention (Rocket Launcher Works Better?)
J.J. Abrams would love the sniping lens flares — they’re like blazing comets. Sometimes you can’t even see the sniper’s head, especially on larger maps. Needs fixing.
Had to tweak Nvidia filters just to spot targets. The cinematic filter layers are also a bit too hazy and washed out for my taste.

Overall Color Grading – Needs Attention
Everything looks dusty brown or grey, with low contrast — even on HDR. Not terrible, but it needs more pop and clarity.

Movement – An Improvement
Player movement feels solid — definite step up.
Vehicles? Still clumsy and awkward to control.

Game Mechanics
TTK is too fast at close range. It’s mostly “whoever shoots first” wins — with ping, Reflex, and system performance making a big difference.

Capturing
Bring back actual flags going up when capping a point. It was satisfying and gave a clear visual cue in older BF games.

Game Modes
Modes feel too similar.
Some feel like 48v48 crammed into a shoebox — random instant deaths everywhere. On smaller maps, fewer players would make for a better flow.

Destruction
Excellent — one of the beta’s strongest points.

Textures
The visual leap isn’t mind-blowing. Optimisation for physics likely limits detail, but compared to games 10–15 years ago, the jump feels smaller than expected.

Gadgets
Not many so far. I do miss specialities.
While the community wanted fewer specialists, I think a top-down approach could still work. BF2042’s system had potential — something creative and tailored for BF6 could be great.

Beta Download Experience
This was rough. Downloaded the beta, launched it… no clue how to unlock the padlocks. No clear instructions about codes or Twitch drops. Ended up leaving a Twitch streamer on (muted, avoiding spoilers) just to get a code.
If this was tied to a marketing or server deal, fine — but at least tell us in-game. Could’ve been far more streamlined.

Overall
Right now, it feels bare-bones, harder to get WTF moments, funny moments than the other BF's to be a bit comical at least. Hopefully on the way, looking forward to the development announcements and once it's more developed i`ll probably end up buying if any offers pop up along the way.

I won’t be pre-ordering — I’ll wait for more large-scale Conquest maps, ideally the size of BF2042’s biggest. Those felt perfect for massive battles.
