I am in the camp who wants the game to be longer and for replayability to be more tilted towards never running out of things to do that add up to something cool or neato, even having a 'New Game Plus' thats an origin that picks up where your last CK retired to keep the squad going rather than the PC in the CK as the primary focus.

My point is basically that we don't have enough of these "things to do that add up" to warrant the current length.

I'd love the game to be longer in the future, but besides pure combat missions, it stops being challenging when you get the right buff skills together.

I found the issue and fixed it in the latest patch. Unfortunately, I think the save file will not work because of this issue, but replaying the mission from the start and resaving it should work fine from now on.

You might be able to fix your savefile if it doesn't work:
The save files are located in %localappdata%\counterclash\
Do not change the file called "save" in this folder, it'll likely cause many issues ending with you losing all your progress.
You could however find the savefile of that mission, it should be the name you gave it when saving. Open it and find the FIRST "alarm2" variable by using ctrl F. Change the value after "alarm2": and before the next , to something like 600.0
Make sure it says .0 after the number otherwise it won't work.
