wrong. Since the very start of crossovers being mentioned they have repeatedly said they will only crossover with IPs that match the thematics and aesthetics of helldivers, that too only with the parts of said IP that meshes with theirs.

So no Spartans or Astartes but ODST and like a dozen Imperial Army Regiments are fitting options.

It’s also exhausting how in a universe with over like 10 factions we always come back to human thing here human thing there. Can we get any non human centric thing ever for warhammer.

But yeah meshing tau drones with watch dogs. Battle suits for exo mechs etc and meshing the greater good with democracy propaganda could actually be interesting over here’s another Cadia reference for the dime a dozen everywhere guard with nothing interesting to add.

Best thing to come from guard is, maybe an actual bolt gun because dominator isn’t a bolt gun and is barely similar if at all. Las gun wouldn’t be different from sickle etc.
there is absolutely zero ways super earth would ever work with the tau. Do you even know the illuminate lore? They started a war with them because the illuminate had mostly peaceful technology they didn't understand. How do you think super earth would feel if another "mostly peaceful" alien race showed up with rapidly advancing military tech that already surpassed their own.

Beyond "it works for me" what have you done to theoretically help anybody? Do you have an example?


Anyway to remain on topic and move on from this pathetic engagement, and since homie thinks I am projecting and alludes to me having not played the game (or beta) I am going to yap about some stuff-

The reason this game failed is because it is plainly just a bad game. Simple as that. They took an already great formula with the already westernized World and made it easy beyond belief in comparison to base-game World. The fundamentals of the game itself are tainted and cannot be salvaged and those people familiar with previous titles who actually take the time to play this game more than cry about it will understand that.

Firstly, not a single person asked for the Handler to be attached to your hip all the time and no amount of waifu-bait goonery will save that. The entire quest system and Radiant quest system is cumbersome and lacks the grace of a simple quest counter that doesn't follow you around and whine about the surroundings and while I always wanted to be able to "make my own quests" where and when I wanted, this is an insane wake-up call.

Secondly, they add in a new combat gimmick in the form of FOCUS as they always do which makes the game TOO trivial. It makes the game TOO easy. It becomes a stagger-on-command button and in the end the hunting in this game lacks weight and doesn't even feel satisfying. Even refusing to use this system feels lackluster and boring while in World you can choose to not use Mantles, Claws, or Slingers and still have engaging combat. It is either FOCUS on the fight for five (or God-forbid less) minutes or be bored whacking a monster with cardboard for 20+ minutes.

Third, did anyone actually desire them to implement RANDOMIZED gear like Charms or Decos? What in the actual Hell are they thinking? This is the most insane bloat I've ever seen in a MH title and I used to LOVE the Palico Ranches! So on top of the grind, not only do I need to get the desired item but now it has to have the right rolls too? This system did not belong in the game.

"B-b-but what about the post-launch TU content?"

You mean the insulting single quests they just drop into our laps with no fanfare? In World when Deviljho dropped there was an investigation leading up to why it was there in the New World before you got the STORY quest to hunt it, cutscenes and all which unlocked the OPTIONAL quests for it and so on. Mizutsune? Just give Alma two throw-away lines about something crazy being in the forest before we beat on it for 5 and call it a day. Real cool TU monster Capcom, makes World and even RISE's post-launch content look copiously packed by comparison so at least they will sell more copies of the better games hopefully. Also who thought it was a good idea to wait until their most broken, un-optimized, and badly reviewed title to bring back the funnily enough watered-down underwater combat? Why are Mizutsune and Lagiacrus in the New World suddenly ANYWAY? DID YOU EXPLAIN IT OR JUST PICK MONSTERS AT RANDOM TO GET PEOPLE TO COME BACK?

And don't get me started on fighting robots in an MH game....

Here is a nit-pick: Why TF is there a Low-Rank GE Odogaron? It was introduced in High Rank as a HR monster, so why did they include a LR one and armour that requires LR Odo parts without telling me that a LR one even existed? This happened twice where the presumed HR-exclusive monster had a "secret" LR counterpart that it failed to tell me used LR-exclusive parts. So I spend ages farming for a damn Claw when lo-and-behold.... LR drop only- "We didn't tell you where to find it but hey 50+ hunts later you discovered we hid an LR variant in there! YAY!" No other Monster Hunter game has done this before and it added an extreme level of distaste for how this game's design has come together.

On top of the open world zones being NOWHERE NEAR AS POPULATED as the first zone they were so proud to show off, none of them are as lively with endemic life or small monsters like I was led to believe. Sure the desert zone is fine, and the Jungle has so many plants you can't make anything out in the distance anyway, but the rest are so unremarkable that I find myself enjoying the locales in previous games more because they aren't strewn with convoluted pathways for my Seikret to parkour on instead of me while being awash with a GRAY LUT that makes this game feel like it is INCLEMENCY ALL THE TIME.

But ALL of this can be looked past and enjoyed if the game. JUST. RAN. WELL. This game will NEVER be able to shine or soar above the others (HAH!) because Capcom are so infected with "Japanese Businessmen-itis" that they refuse to acknowledge they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by releasing the game early for a QUOTA. They ruined this game and got rewarded for it and I swear to God they refuse to even try to make it better. MORE CONTENT. MORE CONTENT. MORE LOCALES TO HAVE BAD PERFORMANCE IN. MORE MONSTERS TO LAUGH AT.

Why does this game run so badly when it looks so ROUGH compared to World and even RISE? You made EVERY. SINGLE. WINDCHIME. in Kunafa have PHYSICS. Do you know how much processing power that is? You have hundreds of windchimes it looks like! THE WIND BARELY BLOWS THEM DURING ANY WEATHER. That recent collaboration reveal had me flabbergasted at how poorly the performance was during that trailer; the textures looked blurry and crunchy, the movements jittery and HOLY HECK I refuse to engage with some construct in a game where I fight flesh-and-blood monsters. This is the MOST tone-deaf I've seen Capcom ever, and these mofos made that banger Dead Rising 1 & 2.

This videogame is an abject failure, and while I hope they actually fix the performance so people could PLAY IT instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over it all the time. After being burned to cinders by Capcom pretending Dragon's Dogma 2 was a perfect masterstroke of gaming while it barely ran on ANYTHING and still barely runs to this day I have no faith in them delivering when the game released broken and unfinished. Some things just cannot be fixed.

Cope all you flipping want but the game is blighted by too much to recover in my opinion. Just because it isn't dead now doesn't mean it isn't on it's way, and until Capcom gets their ♥♥♥♥ together this game will go down as being the Worst Monster Hunter Game in the franchise. All I can say is enjoy it before they move on.

TL;DR: Capcom has failed to deliver a good Monster Hunter game and while very few enjoy it, it is overall a bad game with a niche cult following that has had insulting levels of post-game support. Do not buy this game if you are reading this.
