Not sure why you would bother with PvE, no challenge at all. You will go to areas and they will already be cleared. Completing tasks does not feel rewarding. Maybe if they upped the difficulty it could be fun. But currently there's not much of a point to doing only PvE.

I think the easiest fix to this problem would be to make it so when you die as scum or cortex those respective roles are locked temporarily. Maybe 5-30 minutes depending on how long you were alive. That way every cortex or scum death is valuable. When a player dies they can't instantly respawn as their previous role and pretend like nothing happened.

What level is the console on? I can't find it anywhere.

Hexen 2+hammer of thyrion source port and some tweaks so the music works, + expansion pack is abandonware,(wink, wink), and it does work with the HOT source port.

With the Console commands, you can teleport the expansion pack Demoness into the base campaign, and it will work fine.

Of course, an enhanced edition would be very nice where you press play and it works with no tweaking.

Heretic 2 is, atm abandonware, and it is not easy to install or run on modern PCs.

Nightdive already worked on Quake 1 and 2, so they are likely at least somewhat familiar with those engines.

I never finished Heretic 2, as my modern PC had issues with it midway.

So yeah, a Hexen2+heretic2+expansion pack would be very nice.

Same question for you as above, what of all the games that sell amazing emotional experiences, without the gacha?
