Thinking more about the stats, I´m planning on using the pole hammers, they give accuracy and no fumble chance (and block I guess, but that is not a big thing). Setup and pathfinder will almost always proc because of mighty swings and examine suroundings. And I also have offensive tactics. So prioritising agility over perception is probably right. I will still get perception to 15 since velmir starts at 11 and the extra range for crossbow and seeing enemies is still good.

It doesn't, but my point is that Firefly would have to re-implement any/all of those changes from scratch because of GPLv3. It wouldn't just be as simple as copying UCP changes in, test them a bit, and calling it good.

Firefly still has a pretty small team working on this, and it seems pretty clear to me they were focused on developing the actual Definitive Edition part of the game instead. Any UCP changes were competing with just getting the game out the door in a playable state in the first place.

I'm relatively certain at least some more substantial AI fixes are going to happen over the course of Firefly's support here given how vociferous we've been in asking for it, so hopefully those will come soon. Other bits of the UCP may simply not align with Firefly's vision for the game.

What you're saying would've been true a couple years ago.

We're in that awkward phase of software development where agentic A.I. streamlines a months work of worth into one evening's worth of work. If you can the A.I. a solid reference (i.e. code or psuedocode for anything) - it'll effortlessly convert it over for you. It'll even throw in some improvements in the process.

Their entire staff could probably be replaced by their most productive member.
