Unless you are driving in third person which you shouldn't be if you care about full immersion you won't leave first person at all.

Driving is a big one, yes. And like I said, 1st person doesnt make it more immersive anyway.

@Flan has a really good point. The “level of firing” is strictly a function of proximity and intensity, it does not take into account whether there is “real” danger to the troops.
Back when direct fire guns were the “META”, I once had a test where a KV on one side of a hill got into a panic state from a door knocker firing into the other side of the hill. KV crew obviously had no way of seeing or hearing that.

The game is on sale now and I'm thinking about buying it, but I've gotten the impression that this is made to be played with friends and I want to play alone. Will the game be too difficult as a single player? For example, can you hire helpers or do you have to do everything yourself?

hahaha. thats the spirit. I can't wait for the cod player team mates to be standing on top of my body thats peek shooting at someone thats 200+m away from them and then running away into the void seconds before i just have to redeploy.

don't worry though, i got you on ammo and revives if I see you or anyone else down near me. I'll also be that guy thats tossing ammo boxes on top of tanks and playing as a team instead of against it.

This game has been ported to a heap of 8 and 16-bit systems, but it was originally written for the Commodore PET and its text-mode. You can buy that version direct from the developer.

While the DOS version may have graphics, I do have to wonder if a conversion to use the PC's text-mode might be possible.

I guess when your whole personality is being gay you cannot help it ?
