Don't worry. When you play like an (insert whatever you want) the survivors might just do the same. Survivors might just do the same to you, like idk, soft going next when they do gens but refuse the chase and just let you hook them.
Recently the killer tried tunneling me at 5 gens - i just ran to the hook and crouched rapidly (you know the word :) ). My teammates caught on to what's happening and did the same. In the end he just let us do the gens and leave because we refused to participate.
You play toxic - we play toxic.
And to quote a big DBD killer main content creator, when he was asked why is he slugging the entire team - its not fun for the survivors after all. "Other peoples fun is not my responsibility."

They're upset the thing they paid for is now of lesser quality. Yours sounds like sunk cost, rallying in defense lest you have to acknowledge the merits of their argument and possibly feel your money was less well-spent than you originally believed.

You might be on to something here, I was thinking about this the other day. I think some of these people have to defend everything their favorite developers do because if they didn't they'd have to admit to themselves that they got shafted and that's something not everyone can handle. There's no logic defending Void in this situation as a PC gamer, you literally get nothing of value out of it. Your game is lesser for it while they cash in. To give an analogy it's like a guy sitting there chewing on a cat turd saying "Mmmm, this is tasty!". You know he's got to be lying but why?

Many of these people seem to have formed some kind of bizarre parasocial relationship with the devs.

Yeah it was my stearing wheel that isn't centred. Though sometimes I think my pedals are causing it to drift at startup. If I Alt-Tab out and then back in, it also clears it.
