Do Northgard have World Editor? Can you create mods, custom campaign? Can you play with friends custom games with units and heroes? Think about it. Steam workshop!
its a first cut, comeback with next update. We need time, a lot of time.
I'm not here to create mods or make custom levels. Most people aren't. They're here to play a gripping campaign, a few skirmishes vs AI and maybe a bit multiplayer. Only the most hardcore fans will go beyond that and dabble with modding and custom modes. I don't think this should be your priority.

I get where you coming from. Plenty of user content means infinite replayability in theory which is good for everone involved. But in order for people to come and mod your game you need a massive and steady playerbase first. It's one thing to have people play a f2p demo but making them pay real money for it is an entirely different beast. Peak playercount for your demo was over 1k I think, the paid version is 300 something users. Which are great conversion rates for a small dev like you and something to be proud of for sure. But I am worried you're wasting your potential on focussing on features that should be patched in if, and only if, your game enjoys steady interest in the weeks and months post launch.

Now I've had a look at your roadmap and there's "campaign Act 1" in there wich makes me a happy camper. The thrid faction will also boost engagement no doubt. But the way things are looking right now a focus on modding and community created content seems a bit risky imo.

Its fun. We like do what we like. Thats why we create the game as we want. Not for peak playercount. Metrics are important, but we love what we do. Its long-term development. We have support DLC where we show how we make game and features.
