It is pretty stupid, one moment you are fighting people with 0-500 crystals, next you are fighting people with 9000. It would be better if at 500 you fight players who are 500-1000.

implying you have enough players for that.
people with 500 points are a ultra minority, especially when you can choose to directly start at B3 rank with like 4000+ points

Yea, I was thinking about that too and I don't know if the player population would allow for that idea to work. Regardless the point stands that going from fighting low ranking Masters with less than 500 crystals to fighting GMs with over 9000 is the biggest difficulty spike I have seen in ranked.
