Wait....are you complaining about getting more and more content for this game? That you don't have to buy if you don't want to? When the base game is great and DLCs are not necessary if you don't want them? You seem like the type that, when given a gold bar, you'd complain about how heavy it was...

Are there any plans to optimize the game more? I have a pretty lousy CPU but a good GPU and this game cooks my CPU the whole time it's open. Love the game but in order to continue playing I would need a patch giving an option to make it even less resource intensive

There is always plans to improve performance more, what's your average cpu usage ? I average between 6% and 12%

it hovers around 23% for me

I've owned this game for many years. I played it in VR and was cool, until I had to land. Could not figure it out for the life of me.

Gave it up for a while.

Decided to pick it back up without the VR, thinking it was just the controls that were stopping me before. NOPE. Can't figure out how to land. Pressing the key mapped to do that, just doesn't work. Can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ land an aircraft. crazy

There's no specific key to land, but you need to be either at a station/spaceport or on a landable planet with no atmosphere, get close to the ground, extend the landing gear and find a suitable spot (it the spot isn't suitable it will show as red, otherwise as cyan/blue).

I find it hard to believe you had this game for years and never landed, how did you even play?

Thousands of hours worth of content to do that oughta keep you busy for awhile, even just the Free Trial can take a person hundreds of hours to do everything worthwhile before having to purchase a license and subscription.

Don't let people pissing and moaning about Dawntrail deter you. You would have so many things to do before you come close to getting into that content. Yeah, it's a pretty rough expansion, but by no means is it god awful or unplayable, so there is no reason not to try the game.
