I don't really see how this would work, B units are (as far as I'm aware) are diesel-electric because they can be connected via MU cables, DMs don't have that kind of compatibility, so this wouldn't really work.

B-units include the complete drive train. Only the controls (cab) are removed and those can be electrically connected either by an MU cable or wirelessly.

While this is true, the mechanical gearbox can't be connected electrically, and operating in out-of-cab isn't practical or doable, you would need something to indicate the rpm of the engine. And without said controls from the cab, a DM B-unit would be completely useless.

The 4070 is new enough, it's 2 years old at this point. Thermal paste can get hard and not cool as well after just 2 years. You don't need a new GPU, you just need to disassemble it, remove the old thermal paste and then apply new thermal paste so it can cool like it is supposed to. This is normal computer maintenance. Might as well check the CPU thermal paste while you are in there.
