Seems like I'm not logged in.
No character/server.
Restarted the client several times both Raidzone and Regular one, tried to launch using .exe, regular shortcut and Steam client.
No luck...

It actually is a good game.

Similar things have been said, about Stellar Blade, and that game Ended-Up, in Second Place, Topping the Steam Charts.

Yeah, pre-sale wasn't the issue, it was them not being transparent about the differences from the first game, their original audience expecting explicit adult content and new people probably seeing that the first was adult themed and not everyone's into that so...
Yeah.
It's sad, the first game was good and the second had a lot of heart and soul... they probably shouldn't have called it "Mirror 2" since it's... pretty unrelated to the first. That may have helped a bit.

If you thought you had any agency in M1 or 2, the game designers actually did a much better job of hiding the forced linear progression.
That car race you mentioned? Yeah, while the races in M:TOC are heavily scripted to make it almost impossible to lose, the car race in M1, you also HAVE to win, else "it reloads at the last checkpoint".

That's the beauty of M1. The illusion of freedom. It doesn't matter if the game is linear, just that the world feels alive. It's not about "linear", "story driven" or "cinematic". It's about immersion, a world that feels alive, and amazing gameplay. This is what T2 and H13 don't undestand.

But hey, i'm just a 30+yo guy that lived through the whole rise and fall of this industry, i surely don't know what i'm talking about.

Bought it now for 20 bucks. Even 1 more hero included, So far it's very fun and high production value. Just buy it now (sale lasts until tomorrow) it's reaaly worth 20 bucks. All the cosmetic stuff you don't have to buy. No P2W here.
