The binoculars are poor for spotting.
Do yourself a favor, and get the 30x65mm Spotting Scope, problem solved.

aggree, even the eagle scope (5,5x22) would do much better.

and since you need another rifle anyway, but the 30x is costly (at first - it is very much worth it though!! and you will want it in the long run anyway) the eagle scope on a 300 magnum will improve your game alot.

more species with the 300 = more missions = more coin to earn + on top of that, a scope that zooms up to 22x magnification for much better spotting.

also usefull to scan the distance (but a little wobbely depending on you rifle level)

please take your time and discover what we just said here. this is not a quick game and will require some time to archive the levels you need to successfull compare certain situations.

you also have to decide what you want to buy first... is a spotting scope already needed (if the eagle can step in for a while) or do you want to take on more and bigger animals, and with that more missions to make money?

I miss the bug from back in the day when the ships would take off into the sky lol.

I know how to increase population allowed in space battles, but how do I increase it in the galactic conquest planet map? right now it only allows around 500 population. what XML file do I need to adjust to change it to say 800 or 1000 population in the galactic map? thanks

Because everything from PD2 was discarded and SBZ tried to make a completely new game as they dont know what made PD2 good, they dont know how to play it and they didnt even make that game in the first place.
