Fire resist would do literally nothing lol. High hp units already dont care about fire because it is a small amount of flat dmg. 100+ hp units really only care about suffo resist since its HP percentage based.

Also, it seems like alot of ppl take issue with his early game. Lowering his hp and giving him an armor slot is essentially just a complete nerf to his early game until you get suffo or high hp armor, so not really sure how this would really help. Imo suffo in general is fairly overrated by alot of new players so i would overall just consider this a nerf / sidegrade.

How is some HP better than having a spell from the start...

I mean he can have it but its not really gonna do anything lol. If anyone deserves to have fire resist it should be paladin cus he is definitely the most imperial coded commander.

Taking away 20 hp might be ok depending on the starting spell. If its something insane like aetheric gate / stride, it cud def be worth trading that hp. But fireball, burden, soul spear, etc probably not.

Personally, I think his HP stats should not be changed because he's pretty much always been a very solid commander, whereas almost everyone else needed to be buffed to his level. Rather then a complete rework, I would prefer smaller buffs that give him some uniqueness. Kind of like how mutant has door break and movement speed as neat bonuses, but the main appeal is his stats and slots.
