Well sometimes the honeymoon phase turns into addiction so by then people are too deep in and will force themselves to suffer until they quit or end up stockholm syndroming themselves into convincing themselves everything is good to justify the misery. Or they adapt to playing the stop and go traffic style weekly gameplay and make a schedule for the game to keep progressing.

Some people enjoy it. Is what it is, cause there's no other game with gameplay that compares so it's most peoples only option to either adapt to or be miserable.

Plenty of other games out there which are fun, all kind of genres with all kind of subgenres in them, something for everyone, we have more choice than we ever did before

I think the problem for most is that they are not open to new experiences, especially in the mmo community this is a problem, constantly comparing everything to your first ever mmorpg which was your first love

Similar as to relationships you first have to learn how to let go to start a new one with a completely different person properly

If someone is truly only into isometric camera and also wants to play a MMORPG, both at the same time.. well then they are kinda ****ed, lol

But i dont think that anyone really is actually like that, that reminds me a bit of people which suffer from sunk cost fallacy, only playing the same game over and over cause everything else is trash anyways, i cant believe it is the truth, imo it is a mental blockade

lul i'm kinda like that. Not really though. I try alot of games, i just don't enjoy certain types of gameplay. Tried them so many times, bought so many games and just couldn't get into them. I really enjoy the top down gameplay. Spent many years only playing diablo 2. I like first person also, got like 18k hours in rust and over a thousand in 7 days to die. I played a lot of rpg's back in the 90's and some dos based games like sierra stuff in the 80's. I don't really know much about mmorpg stuff.

I liked the interactions in mmo's like rust where there's tons of people u can talk to and then there's pve server's where u can build bases and villages with people u become friends with and lvl up and build cool gear that's not in normal servers. Only tried lost ark cause a friend who i played rust with asked me to try it with him. He hard quit though and i kept playing. It's not what i hoped for as an mmorpg. Not much real social aspects and more just forced group play to progress. I ended up quitting multiple times, with the longest one being for a whole year. But came back earlier this year cause they said there's soloraids.

I still dislike much about it in the sense of rng and timegating, but it's been much more enjoyable to be not get caught up in the games limiting culture and lack of open mindness to opinions outside of the box. I did a few group raids since coming back, and i wasn't gatekept and it was fast despite me not knowing the raid. They did make fun of me for being high roster lvl yet never doing the raid before but the leader accepted me and said i did fine at the end.

Tried getting back into group raids after that, but the whole discord thing and trying to fit in.. With every place i joined saying they were friendly and do learner groups being not so friendly and putting me on trial for hours without ever actually doing the raid with me or teaching me the raid i asked to learn. Was easier to pug than to get a learner in discord. It reminded me of why i quit the first time after the static i enjoyed the most all hard quit the game for other games and every other static i joined after just wasn't fun compared to that one.

So yea, i realized i don't get any more enjoyment out of group stuff with how the game, community, and it's culture is. If they ever realize flex/duo options for raiding i'll prolly do that quite a bit, cause it's easy and fun to just play with 1 or 2 other's. But yea.

I'm sure some people are as u say with the mental blockade. I tried very hard to find other games. Downloaded, bought, and tried many. They just weren't fun for me. I did buy dynasty warriors recently cause i remember enjoying that back in my 20's. But that's the only game with that kinda camera angle i've been able to enjoy. I might just not be into modern mmorpg's in general. They're just not what i hoped for.

It would be real nice if I could log in to the damn server to be able to fight him.

Skill issue. The scope glint is ESSENTIAL to balanced gameplay. You simply cannot be allowed to one-shot someone from practically any distance from near absolute safety. There has to be a downside to this. Constant scope glint from the moment you begin aiming has to be in the game. They also need to remove auto-spotting. Recon should have to use their fingers to spot like everyone else.

The downside should be making sniping in 6 actually hard, now its almost a hitscan

That would work too but then instead of people moaning about glint you'd have them instead moaning about not being able to hit anything lol.
