I don't own nor have I ever played Tarkov, so I won't comment on it. I do own Star Citizen however, and the similarities to Exanima and Sui Genesis, as far as the development cycle goes, are extremely similar, so the comparison is apt enough.

Like Sui Genesis and Exanima, Squadron 42 and Star Citizen use all of the same assets, gameplay mechanics, and funding. This has been stated many times and have been demonstrated in gameplay shown of the two games throughout the years. Just like Exanima and Sui Genesis, Squadron 42 and Star Citizen has been in development since around 2011-2012, had a Kickstarter campaign, then released early builds a few years later.

Regardless, the point is that while Star Citizen and Squadron 42 has suffered a long development period like Exanima, they actually have a reasonable amount of progress to show for the time spent in development. And CIG continuously and consistently pushes out patches quarterly while making the effort of communicating what's going on behind the scenes weekly.

Now, I'm not saying this to paint Cloud Imperium in a good light, those games have their own issues and controversies, but compared to Bare Mettle with Sui Genesis and Exanima, they're doing a much better job of showing they care for the product they sold and respect their supporters.



The same can be said for you as to why you refuse to acknowledge Exanima as a game, not a tech demo, despite the developers themselves labeling it as such, which I have quoted multiple times, and you can clearly see and read for yourself on the Steam store page. It very clearly states that Exanima is a smaller standalone game serving as a prelude to Sui Genesis. It's your word versus the developer's word, which do you think carries more weight?

It simply comes down to you attempting to use tech demo as an excuse or justification for why it's okay that this game remains in Early Access for 10+ years now. But like I said, even if it were a tech demo, it still wouldn't be excusable because it's a product being sold. Bare Mettle is still to be held accountable for not delivering the completed product in a reasonable time frame.



Yeah, Star Citizen is the largest crowd funded game to date, but you use that as an excuse as if both Cloud Imperium and Bare Mettle didn't start their companies from scratch and had Kickstarters around the same time. Cloud Imperium accumulated the hundreds of millions of dollars overtime. Let's not pretend that Bare Mettle couldn't have expanded too. Maybe not to the extent of Cloud Imperium due to differences of monetization methods and genre market, but if they're still a tiny dev team nearly 20 years later, that's on them.



I have no issue with anything you just said here, and that's what you're failing to grasp. Just like you don't care I'm not happy with the progress the game is making, I don't care that you are. Both of us are free to voice our opinions. Just because you are okay with the way things are doesn't mean others can't share that they aren't. They have valid reasons for wanting to talk about their disappointment. You have a sea of positive threads to engage with on this forum, ignore the ones that're being negative about Exanima if you find them annoying.



You talk about asinine, brother... it is asinine that these two games are almost 20 years in development. How is it remotely possible they have so little to show between updates yet have spent so much time supposedly developing? Dropping unsubstantial patches maybe once or twice a year, reminder that there hasn't been a patch for almost two years now, that barely propels the overall game forward doesn't cut it. Yes, that is concerning. Yes, I want to see more.



This comes down to poor planning by Bare Mettle. Whether it be scope creep, over-promising, or flat-out mismanagement, that is entirely on them. Since we're being realistic, lets acknowledge that this game is a niche genre. Everyone involved had to have known this. That means a far smaller crowd for funding. Why Bare Mettle thought it to be a good idea to attempt developing two games at once rather than focusing attention to one to both expand their studio and establish a more stable source of income is questionable, but it's not a problem of the consumer.



It is ironic that you call my arguments childish all the while lacking self awareness. You don't see just how unrealistic your viewpoint is. If Exanima were brought to the spotlight in today's age of gaming it'd be picked apart and called a scam or abandonware for the amount of time it has been in development alone for such a small game. If you honestly think most people would be okay with waiting 10+ years for a game to be completed when they already get annoyed by much larger scale games being pushed back a few months let alone a year, you are very disconnected from reality.

Dude SUI ended the crowd funding, they did the kickstarter, met the goal, and put out a 15 dollar thing to tie people over with the money they made while they develop.

Star citizen has mad 800 millions dollars in crowdfunding which you are still able to pay into with 60-1000 dollar ships which are bought daily as the means in which you have to play the game.

I understand now. There should be a merchant goblin at the start of each new level you have to pay real money to in order to buy sets of armor that you like. Then bare mettle will have millions and they can expand to 300 people and finish the games this year!! Idiot. I won’t even be nice for this one. You’re an idiot

because warframe characters looks like regurgitated metal, an eyesore for me

I want to save the game any time I wanted and also a difficult setting like easy , normal and hard.

Define "run", that setup has no chance of running this game at any acceptable level of performance, the minimum specs require 8GB's of VRAM. The minimum also requires a 2070, which is over 50% more powerful than a 1060.
Even if the game does manage to run without constant crashing, you will very low FPS and have constant stutters.

If you don't have the money to splurg, I'd hold off on buying this game, even the recommended requirements require a 3080, which is slightly more powerful than a 4070. Budget PC gamers are not the intended customer for this game apparently, ruling out over 70% of the PC consumer base.
