If worried about jailbreaks if you also have biotech you can make a cheap xenotype with dead calm and they will not jailbreak. Can replace the xenotype after with another if you wish, or give your would be slaves a xenotype that is great for that purpose to begin with, dead calm doesn't make slaves any worse after all.

Other SGS World War I campaigns?

Wars Across the World might have what you seek. Not as good as a dedicated SGS game, but they released over the past year or so:
Namibia 1915 and
Balkan Watr II 1913 (aka Bulgaria Goes Wild)

They also have:
Serbia 1914, which covers the fights between Serbia and Austro-Hungary from August till December 1914, with Montenegro assisting the former.
Tannenberg 1914 and Galicia 1914, which cover the battles of Tannenberg and Galicia respectively.

Thing is, the amount of WW1 scenarios WAW has so far is still quite small and only God knows when we will get more. More SGS games that cover theaters and battles of WW1 would be amazing (not that more WW1 scenarios for WAW wouldn't be amazing).

Speaking of WAW. One of the currently unreleased WAW scenarios that was spotted LONG ago in SteamDB is supposed to cover the Second Battle of the Marne, but it's hard to say if it will ever see the light.
