need to be using lightning bolt with rage, and max overwhelm on call lightning. 3 lightning bolt casts > call lightning with 150% more damage > repeat, keeps you at max rage and spends energy extremely efficiently, you will have energy to spare on other stuff like barrier

unfortunately elementalist doesn't have much reason to be using the fire spells when you have these amazing spells to kill everything with. you can upgrade flame volley with auto-cast and upgrade ignite to automatically apply when enemies get hit by flame volley for some free damage over time, but make sure your real skills are as strong as possible first. otherwise, if your main interest is lightning or cold damage, there's no reason to have Earth has your secondary mastery

elementalist makes more sense if you enjoy using the Earth fire spells, because then taking storm as your secondary gives you amazing utility spells like Blink, Ice Nova and Cyclone, also super good passives like Storm Protection, Storm Guidance and Arcane Influx

It is being blocked by slightest terrain height.
And game full of those.
And it pushes out mobs.

Since the DLCs keep introducing new mechanics it seemed to me that it stifled heroes ability to incorporate new skills as they become available. Seems like they need to keep reworking heroes on a regular basis to keep them relevant. Not sure how any of it is inefficient or needed more maintenance. The only things they've really added or changed since the system released was stuff that people were asking for from the beginning, like mage getting more elements, and splitting ritualist to have a more dedicated necro/dark caster. Same with the addition of a 'paladin' class. All of that was being talked about the day the hero system debuted.
