That's more so a fault of yours for not looking around more (no better way to word it unfortunately)...

If you don't have a credit card you're free to find groups that are +18 but don't require you to be VRC 18+ Verified and still join instances without children. You could even get lucky and someone gifts you VRC+ (happened to me, thanks Nightmare).

I have a few friends at trusted without VRC+ and no VRC +18 Verification, and they're in groups/find instances for +18 without requiring the VRC Verification.
(Here are some group examples: CINEMANIACS, Voltaic, Circuit Circus, Lastation)

For the record: I do also find it stupid that you need VRC+ to get age verified but you do have to look around to find what you're looking for.

The last timeframe that I recall mentioned was for a Q3 release. If that holds true still, then it would be sometime in the next 1-2 months. However, as we know, that remains very subjective to development progress. I would be shocked if it takes until 2026.

Still, it would be nice for more progress reports. Every 2 would be good, if not monthly.

For now, all we can do is wait, rather impatiently......
