That's very harsh considering the game is good at the moment, a lot of little things have been polished. It's pretty deep and fun in PvP and there are not a lot of RTS games like this nowadays.
Plus the devs are pretty committed to improve and make the game evolve.

I'm not a big COH2 player, since PvP seemed to be only spamfest to me, thus I can't really compare both, but I don't get the hate COH3 has.

Solution for windows in case you haven't found it yet: go to windows security find the "virus & threat protection setting" and click manage, then scroll down to the exclusion tab and click it, then add exclusion and select horizon walker in you files folder and click open, this will bypass the antivirus so you can open the game. hope this helps someone

That's... good to know to see their mentality on this issue. They value "protecting their IP" more than their customers' experience, while failing to do the first. Also, is Denuvo that old? I would say maybe 9-10 years.

Denuvo is the least problem with ubi games. They also use VMProtect on some games which with early Anno 1800 version was buggy as hell. But the worce is their launcher. If they decide to 'shutdown' the game, at best it will be downgraded to standard edition, might have some single player features not working, or don't work at all. Well, releasing on GOG also requires to remove their launcher. Though apparently they like their DRMs so much, they add more every time. I still hope to see this game on GOG in 10 years. Who knows, maybe Ubisoft go bankrupt before that.

It's hard for them to see their customers in this corporate blindness, but there is always a maybe. Though they still try to unlock more ivory towers instead of discovering what people really want.
