This is heartbreaking to read, and unfortunately not surprising. Furryphobia and targeted harassment in TF2 (and gaming in general) have been normalized for far too long under the guise of “just trolling” or “it's just a game.” But when players are being bullied, slurred at, and kicked simply for expressing themselves peacefully, it’s not trolling—it’s cruelty.

TF2 is a game built on creativity, chaos, and community. Whether someone crouchwalks as a purring Pyro or plays competitively as a sweaty Scout, everyone deserves respect. The fact that a slur was used and the victim of the harassment got kicked instead of the aggressor shows how deep the bias runs.

We need to do better. That means:

🚫 Calling out hate speech and slurs when we see them.

🛡 Supporting players who are targeted, not isolating them.

📢 Raising awareness that furryphobia is real and harmful.

🧠 Reminding people that identity expression—whether furry, queer, or anything else—is not a crime.

To anyone who’s been bullied for being a furry in TF2: you belong here. Your joy, your playstyle, your presence matters. And to those who think it’s funny to harass others—ask yourself why someone else’s harmless fun threatens you so much.
