The player numbers on Steam have barely moved from where they fell to in early March. Over five months have passed, multiple DLC have dropped, they've patched it and put it on sale, and still it's not gotten much of a bump.

The game is doomed. This isn't going to be profitable for them and they'll likely pull the plug on further development, leaving anyone with a mouse icon (i.e.: me) holding the bag.

Steam player #'s are the proof in the pudding... and they will never, ever climb back up all that much because the game can't exist without the eras and resets and civ-switching. TO remove any of those would break the others (remove the eras and resets and you get a bunch of civs that only matter for 33% of the game yet can be played the whole session).

Of course. I do want to say I am not complaining but making people aware of this. I've reviewed this a bit more and submitted a report to steam for review. There is a potential chance this game is actually violating Steam's terms of service. But I'll let them investigate that.

Games inherently are allowed to gather information but there is a bunch of conditions to that, how it's stored and shared, etc. Especially when it comes to local laws in many jurisdictions and countries. It's a complicated thing.

I really enjoyed talking to Stella, there's a lot of potential here but paying to play to be a data farm for the developer is not something I'm too fond of and I know many others aren't either.

I have all the abilities, all the weapon mods, and have used all of the blessings. I don't know what "Unlock all Skills" refers to, since the word "skills" is not used anywhere else. If anyone knows what this refers to, let me know.

As for bad team mate sadly there isn't a cure for stupid which is legal.

I find it kinda sad how they're willing to basically give their game away for less than £1 and continues to hide behind the "we're protecting the game from piracy!" excuse. It was never a measure against piracy, its about control.

Could you specify a timestamp on that video where you think units are moving in a hex grid?

For example, I am looking at 0:26-0:32
It makes me think that units were placed this way for the showcase, but there is no hex grid. Notably, look at orcs on the right. When they are thrown away, they spread over a great distance. If game was grid based, I don't think they would have been spread so much.
Also, at this same extract, the walker mech is placed a bit misaligned compared to guardsmen. If game was hex grid based, I don't think units would have been placed like that.

Also, if developers indeed use a hex grid, why is it bad? Is it bad specifically because it doesn't fit Dawn of War franchise or for some other reasons?
