I played with a close friend I know irl (different steam accounts & online +🎮) with voice communication thru discord, we both played other coop games a lot in the past too (mostly FPS) and playing Split Fiction was a whole new experience for us we just finished the story a week ago the first time, I played Zoe's side and my friend Mio's in our first run and idk if it's just me, but I feel like Zoe's side is slightly more easier than Mio's side (we agreed that next time we'll switch side and play again 😆 but not so soon)

My honest opinion is that SF is not as hard as most games we played, since every time we died we'll just respawn right where we were instead of restarting at the "last checkpoint/chapter" like some games would, i like that the devs made it this way, so in comparison it's less frustrating, to say. Well even in boss fights when both of us unfortunately, died XD we'll still be able to quickly pick up where we left, and the game allowed you to learn from your mistakes from multiple trials of failure without any punishment at all (also most of the time, cooperation is the answer since it's what the game required from both players to work together to figure things out) even tho I admit sometimes when it's kinds really tricky, one of us would go watch YouTube walkthrough on the part we're stuck then come back to tell the other what to do lol but usually we like to put our brains on it first since it's part of the fun.

But overall I think this game is very wholesome and balanced (I prefer fantasy world more hehe the dragon chapter is particularly my fave since it gives HTTYD vibe ;p)
We decided to try It Takes Two after since it's also from the same studio🤞🏻and I read that it's even easier than Split Fiction (?)

You said it, optimization is garbage. On lowest settings possible, it was unplayable for me.
I'm able to run fine Grim Dawn at max settings, WH TW, on Ultra ... etc
This game was not ready to be released.

The comms range is the reason why I do mission running at Elysium of Light only, once the other ranks are at the needed level for the plots. And it is why I decline to do generic missions beyond the Heretic's End northern gate - unless I come across some "I need M4/M5 ship" missions while doing the first plot.
And the comms range is the reason I start to mine nividium OOS for credits sooner or later...

btw i just create it to let my fruend reward me to take some points this game is ♥♥♥♥ but it was good in the old days

Incomplete information is a typical mechanic. You wont get enough to be right every time, so guess. Pick the one your gut wants to off. Or the one that may provide more info while dead. Or one of them at random.
It would be nice to earn points to dictate a specific villager will spawn and give some more control over what info you can definitely get.
