Not exactly on topic, but since we're talking about paladins, I kind of wish instead of having subclasses for Paladin that allowed someone to live out their fallen edgelord fantasies, they'd just come up with another class all together for that pursuit.

Ah, that would be the Blackguard, a PrC introduced in... 3rd edition.

By this point it doesn't matter if the bug is or is not a big deal, the game is almost a decade old (over that if we're counting beta releases) and I can say with complete confidence that the remaining player base is more than accepting of these glitches. We wouldn't play the game if we thought these things were untenable. The devs are just wasting time and effort at this point when releasing patches like this and actively harming the one thing keeping the game fresh while we wait for the undoubtedly abysmal sequel that's going to ♥♥♥♥ the bed exactly like how Below Zero did.

You gotta admit that the timing of this is suspicious: devoting time and manpower to fixing years-old bugs when the sequel was being worked on in anticipation of meeting a major deadline, and in doing so also broke mods/saves (a large number of PC players are modded these days) in what I suspect is an attempt to get players to focus on the sequel and thus make more sales.

They added a light form of a "news reel", and only fixed a handfull of bugs. I'm definitely under the impression they are working to start trying to build up hype for the new title. I've seen roughly the exact same thing with Borderlands 2/ Pre-Sequel. What is different RN is that Unknown Worlds has provided an easily accessible fallback, Gearbox has not. Granted, I imagine Gearbox frowns upon modding their title. Still, gotta love the new feature in Borderlands where it kicks you to the main menu from your SP game, do not collect autosave, if you lose/regain connection with their servers (and forgot to switch off of their servers every. single. time. you boot up the game).

you can still do all of this with those that want to do it with you

everything you talk about

guilds can still fight each other

you can still build and defend your base

if there is nobody to defend against

that is because they would rather pve than pvp

again, a pvp server solves all of this

everyone there would be signed up to pvp at all times

There is no need to do any of this anymore. Just mindless EZ mode farm it now.

What will happen, the largest guild will still farm PvP zones. No one else will go out there because you don't have to risk conflict anymore to get T6, so they'll just farm it Ez mode safety, and only the biggest/largest/most active guild will go out to the DD PvP.

so the people that do want to pvp are lazy and would choose pve instead?

i mean, that is what you are saying

i pve because i like it

they can add the mobs to make it harder or whatever

i assumed people pvp'd because they enjoyed doing it

not because it was forced

as far as i am concerned

the only extra loot pvp should get is full drops

including vehicles

from the losers

that is the risk and reward that pvp offers as far as i see
