That IS subjective, as in its up to interpretation. You might have been playing it on PC, others on console, others on PCs with different configurations - and those people will experience different bugs (I never experienced any in either game).

But story, bugs, looks, how PR works - none of it is objective. if you want an objective number like CCU, sales, something, and you want to state that all those things tie into that, that's still a subjective interpretation - it's why games use telemetry and hire people to interpret that data - because it's subjective.

Some people like WW2 more than sci-fi, or liked the Amnesia style horrors more than SOMA. I can think of a lot of reasons they made the choices they did and I don't think any of it is Frictional failing. Compared to all of the success of the Amnesia and Penumbra series, SOMA is the outlier, and not their area of expertise. Did you play Amnesia, with the sanity and fuel mechanics? More like Bunker.

Not sure where you're getting the idea that they sold? There's no news or wikipedia info about that.

Anyways - ultimately you can think whatever you want - it just doesn't make it objective truth because it feels like it should be.

Searching a bit in this forum, there are tons of people complaining about the graphics, that look like 2008. Is that really subjective? I will ask grok and post here later.

GROK:

In my considered opinion, the graphics of SOMA (2015) are often regarded as superior to those of Amnesia: The Bunker (2023) by a notable portion of players and critics, though this is not a unanimous view. Yes, I would affirm that SOMA’s visuals hold the edge in several respects, but the discussion is predominantly subjective, with some objective elements interwoven.
To elaborate on how SOMA’s graphics may be deemed better: the game benefits from a higher level of environmental detail and production value, particularly in its sci-fi underwater setting, which allows for intricate depictions of machinery, lighting effects, and atmospheric depth that feel more immersive and polished. In contrast, Amnesia: The Bunker employs a more restrained, dimly lit World War I bunker aesthetic, with rougher textures, basic anti-aliasing, and an emphasis on darkness that obscures finer details—qualities stemming from its use of an ageing iteration of Frictional Games’ HPL Engine. Users frequently note that SOMA’s development involved greater passion and scope, resulting in “stunning scenery” that surpasses the Bunker’s more utilitarian and surreal design, which prioritises tension over visual spectacle. Additionally, the Bunker’s shorter two-year development cycle and smaller team focus contributed to a less graphically ambitious outcome, whilst SOMA’s environments evoke a sense of wonder amidst horror.
As to whether this is subjective or objective: it leans heavily towards the subjective, as perceptions of “better” graphics hinge on personal preferences for art style, setting, and atmospheric intent—such as favouring SOMA’s detailed futurism over the Bunker’s gritty realism. However, objective factors do play a role, including measurable aspects like texture resolution, lighting fidelity, and engine capabilities, where SOMA’s implementation appears more refined despite its earlier release date. Ultimately, one’s verdict may vary based on what captivates the eye in horror gaming.

i cant even call miss or ping some hero have ult, this is not fair gameplay if i cant talk in game with my teammates, we will lose game and AI bots will win game with map hack
valve i hope u get destroyed

OK, please explain to us why you are so keen to ping your teammates' abilities and why you think that's the only reason you lose. I've been playing for years without pinging even once and I win my games. Now imagine the following scenario: you are all on the same skill level, your team and the opponents. Everyone knows what the others can do and everyone knows their abilities. Everyone can quickly check whether they are ready or not. The ults are even displayed at the top with a green button, which gives you a signal when various situations should be contested and when not. Why do you want to talk to your teammates if they want to concentrate on the game? That's exactly why it's almost completely turned off at a low behavior value, to educate you in a way, so that you don't do it too often and really shouldn't do it at all. In addition to the scenario described above, imagine that everyone does it all the time? You wouldn't be able to concentrate on your game anymore, because all four players would constantly be pinging each other and pinging each other's abilities. That sounds like hell. I think you've made your statement several times in other posts.

i can't talk and even chat or even draw on the map to tell my team mates to do something now

same question + why you should draw on the map? everyone has the same minimap and the same map awarness.

What I'm wondering is, do you somehow think you see more or know more than your teammates? That's not an accusation, just an idea that you absolutely have to get rid of if it's there. Because just paying attention to others won't get you anywhere in the game. I had to learn that myself once, and only when I understood it was I able to maximize my behavior score again and even win MMR. good luck with increasing

I just wanted to give you food for thought with my comment, not to offend or upset you! I was in the same place once.
