Always a weekend... (Just some thoughts and personal frustations.)
Just my thoughts...

It seems like every time I need to hire an employee, start a marketing campaign, order a delivery, start a contract.... it is always a weekend.

I know it's just bad timing on my part... but it gets frustrating sometimes.

I can place an online order in real life with pretty much any retailer that accepts them at any hour of the day/night. They won't ship or be available for pickup until the next business day/open time. That's cool and I don't mind waiting, but being able to order something at 3am on a Saturday means I don't forget to do it first thing Monday morning.

I wish that we could do the same in game. Set up a delivery for later in the week (and be able to see the price in the summary later). Set a marketing or hiring campaign to start first thing on the next Monday morning. Transfer that money into my "savings" (stocks).

Let me pile up faxes on their floor or texts in their contact list to be dealt with the next time they're open!

I just get so frustrated when it's 5:01pm on a Friday and have to wait until 9am Monday because chances are I am going to forget that XYZ needs to be done until just after the next closing time... :laughing_yeti:

A few other thoughts while I'm on a roll.

Also seems a little weird that we have to buy bathroom stuff for a place we are renting now. I can see adding more/renovating/upgrading, but you don't often rent a space without at least one provided bathroom if there's plumbing for it.

The cool new job boards also went from having way too many low level applicants to none at all.

Well, the new preview was called The Struggle so... I guess maybe I've just been playing too much in previous versions and I'm too attached to being able to open a business pretty much every week. The changes to product deliveries is going to be hard to deal with. I liked topping up my warehouses daily rather than weekly. Plus anyone who goes to get into the game from watching videos is probably going to be confused by some of these newer changes.

I mostly play on story mode on the easiest setting (still chasing a few achievements), but it's hard to readjust my brain for these new challenges and changes while still having a chill fun game. I can't imagine wanting to try a harder difficulty. :dazed_yeti:

Completely silent devs
The only thing that brought this game up in my sights again since its teaser release, is because recently my friends and I were just randomly looking through Steam for something to play as a group, then he saw Zero Hour on sale and I suddenly remembered this one; knowing that the devs update on this game's development is only through Discord and Discord alone, makes me feel like they're just playing in mud with all the current "funds" they've got. Can't blame those who thought this game is fake or an upcoming scam. And I have to recap what Ditto said that I agree on as well.

I know, I hate it too. They should post more! But the devs have been publicly speaking recently on their Discord's development chat! Take a look!
Remember, they are a small indie team. Not some triple-A company.

Per the store page, "Wishlist Unrecord now to stay up to date on the latest news and updates!" There has been no posted update on Steam, at all, ever, including an introductory post or roadmap. The dev Twitter hasn't posted since June 7th, 2024. The game has its own twitter, which also hasn't posted since June 7th, 2024. The Youtube page doesn't appear to have uploaded anything since the original trailer from April 2023, certainly not anything public that is. I personally had to come to the Steam discussions page to find anything current and indexable, which is key for anyone not following dev closely, or those who are seeking out info about it having heard of it recently, as opposed to at the height of its fervor. I had assumed development was dead based on years of silence.

Discord is not a platform for disseminating information to anyone but people who are already in the server in question. If they wanted to market the game and keep interested players informed, they could very easily change the description of the game on Steam to include that their dev team only communicates on Discord, or they could crosspost updates to the Steam page as they indicated they would. Communication on Discord is no more public than the lobby of a hotel; anyone may well be welcome to come in at any time, but you wouldn't likely consider someone giving a speech in a hotel lobby the same as giving a speech out on the streets. The key here, again, is this information being indexable.
