Yep. I'm Kinda disappointed a little too. No block mechanic, no kunai melee (in demo so far), no divekick chains. No blood either (ratings prob). Additionally, I just don't feel that flashy and colorful VFXs and pickups fit the Shinobi theme.

On the other hand, the animations (sometimes you can see them through that field of sparks) and sounds, and moveset are great. I even like that you have to unlock new moves and mix additional abilities along the way. It may be strange that you have to learn so many ninja skills being already a master, yes. But it helps to feel the evolution of the character. I think it's ok. I can live with it.

Devs, guys, please, implement some preferences to tone down the VFXs. And maybe bring back the "block on hold attack" btn ? Modern dodge mechanic is okay-ish, but with the block, you could add another tactic layer to the fights.

This game deserves to be a masterpiece.

the issue is the players of the game, myself included, dont care about what a member of the team says or did. we play the game because we enjoy the game. you are really just virtue signalling on the steam forums and it falls on deaf ears. what aaron supposedly did affects nothing about the actual game they are making.

I concur. I just want to play the damn game, i don't care about what the people behind are doing behind closed doors either way, given it's of no consequence to me.
Granted, i would admit i'm not particularly fond of people being silenced, but well, who am i to do anything about that anyway?
In this day and age, where drama dwells everywhere, i'd rather just focus on the game.

But even after deleting all the .sav files AND disabling cloud save before launching the game it still had my progress saved so there must be a second place locally those .sav files are

After more digging, seems none of my old orange pixel games work as well as the new demos. Only Space Grunts 2 in Windowed mode works. Tried several fixes, nothing works. Oh well.

Can I become less of a strategic threat to others when I stop expanding for a while and play more passive?
Or does it only depend on the amount of provinces and armies I have?
Can I raid or even sack other factions or does that also increase my strategic thread value?
