Hi again everyone, hope you are all well 🙂

I have been back to work on Sapiens again this week, after a number of weeks away. It wasn't a planned time away, and it was caused by a number of things, the biggest of which was (at current count) 5 or 6 different viruses going through our house. We've literally had at least one person sick in the family very close to non-stop since some time in March. Clearly we should have crafted more virus medicine 😅

When I have found windows to work, I've been carrying on efforts to reduce my techincal debt generally, tidying up loose ends all over the place. And while I've been sick or child minding, I've been obsessively focused on creating my own programming language, tui - https://github.com/mjdave/tui, which will eventually become the backbone of all of my future games and apps.

But anyway, I'm back, Sapiens is again top priority, my nose is only a little snotty, and I am immune to every bug that exists now.

Paddy has now finished his time working with me on art, he's done a wonderful job, but everything he has created still needs quite a lot more work to get it to function well and look good in the game. This week I have just now finally finished off the new wall and roof textures for existing structures. This means that all of the existing content is up to date, and I can now start adding new things again, hooray!

They should hire (even for free because Work is one thing, being payed to offer abilities and competences is another thing commonly called job or better prostitution) one of us serious players that have a nice overview of all the situation from an external point.
Actually one of those they called for the closed beta could work but a serious and competent one for god sake.

CEOs' main reason to be and their main job is just one: profit. The more the better, the sooner the better. Investors will kick their butt off the Chair in a flash if that's not happening fast.
Nothing ever works as they think it should. They just speak using another language to people that are idealists (somebody who has an idea and works hard to make it real) that have feelings for what they build, that have emotions about their visions.

That's why CEOs must not be outsiders but they NEED to merge, work, go along and understand the whole team's mood. Yet it usually is just always money money money. I'm not telling there are not solid reasons for their job (like paying all the Company workers) but it's just another language, like trying programming in CC++ using Basic strings: may be the logic pattern is the same but that's the only thing in common.

If that thing above is really a meeting report, it's a nice start for a crash.
Dune Awakening now needs money:
- Bugs are killing the game and this is clearly a unfortunate event that no one ever wishes for but sets itself up as n.1 proprity real time. This eats resources, even lots of them.
- The whole DD thing is just a startup and needs development bad.
- Develop those plans for future content and consider new ideas.

I understand and feel the situation they are living there. And honestly, it worries me. The question now is: Dune Awakening, is your job or your Work? (difference of the two is right up, in my first 2 lines).

Are you expected to finish the game in one sitting, or will the game remember where you left off if you have to suddenly exit? I've seen some people mention "memory" issues, and I'd hate to have to start over every time I can grab an hour or two of free time for gaming time.

Also it makes absolutely no sense, as Wuchang is feathered so the soldiers should fight her. Why did they fight the other feathered enemies but not Wuchang?

This patch kills the core game idea of feathering and also the build up of the Inner Demon by killing not feathered enemies.

Yesterday I played without a problem, today I can't run the game via secure boot. I don't have that option in the BIOS and I won't bother with a BIOS update. Thanks for the game, I'm going back to Delta Force :/
