The market was integral part of the gameplay since the first release of stronghold crusader.
Now we just don't have to make as many clicks an more. But selling stone, bread and weapons was part of the gameplay since the beginning.

Even in the original Stronghold using the marked was often the best way to make money.

Don't like NMS, it's boring after a few hours and although its music, procgen and seamlessness are impressive, most of its many features are poorly done. Interesting curio but I was glad I played it on gamepass in the end

Mass Effect is wonderful in almost all areas except the actual gameplay, which has annoyances, so even though it's good I can't list it as a favourite

Install FSO using knossos.NET, it also has a store-like area where you can quickly choose and install mods. I recommend Diaspora: Shattered Space
