I agree with the OP. Simply saying "best eco-simulation of the entire series so far!" doesn't make it true. It's not actually simulating an ecosystem. If that were true then you wouldn't have monster that spawn in similar locations and follow similar paths over and over.

Soulless is not a bad descriptor, to be honest. Mindless would also be another.

Wilds makes you feels like a toddler. You spawn into the open-world after the real hunters already tracked and put gps locators on all the monsters so that you can see them on your map without any work. Etc. You don't feel like you are interacting with a simulated ecosystem at all.

It's like climbing Mount Everest but you and your gear are being dragged by Sherpa.

Nothing you say makes sense. Play the game and see it for yourself.
This is an experience only actual players can have.

Enjoy the game in Hagga Basin (before end-game) because it's great. Once you get to the end-game you'll be greeting with a half-formed experience that doesn't respect your time or playstyle, even if you enjoy PvP like me.

Xbone controller is great. I've been trying to rig it up to my real car.
