Wow. Parry completely trivializes the game. Needs to be nerfed. Wow.

Weak bait. Did you even played the game? Parry is pretty balanced, it literally doesn't work on anything that is not a weapon ( sword, lance, etc ) so basically doesn't work on half of enemies and bosses in game, maybe more. And even so, there's some boss fights against weapon users that are still hard even with parry, Zhao Yun would be a pretty good example. He even has a counter parry for when you use a parry against him. Even both Honglan fights has a mix of sword, blunt and magic attacks, meaning you can't just turn your brain off and parry everything, so doesn't trivialize anything. Just like with the Clash mechanic the devs did a great job with this, creating a good and strong mechanic and balanced it making it useless against some other enemies.

How is it "balanced" when the window is so wide that it's basically automatic?

Berserker Khazan, for all its flaws, at least had a balanced perfect parry where the timing had to be somewhat precise to pull it off. And if you managed to parry a boss's full attack string, maybe 6 hits in a row or something, you'd fill up maybe a quarter of the boss's stagger meter. And if you managed to fully parry several full attack strings, 20+ hits total, you could stagger the boss. And Lies of P was pretty similar, with you needing to parry a lot of attacks to have any real effect. Both balanced.

Here, you can literally parry a boss 3-4 times TOTAL (like less than parrying a single attack string in Berserker Khazan), and you've already killed them dead. It's a single parry to completely knock them off their feet and get lots of attacks in. And this is in addition to the regular stagger meter, which is also filling up while you do this. So by the time you've pulled off a couple of parries and beat up the boss a little, the stagger meter is full and you can do your backstab (or whatever it's called here) attack for even more damage. So basically, a couple of parries and more than half of the boss health is gone.

How is that "balanced"? It's completely ridiculous and broken! And then other people are saying dual blades are even easier and if that really is the case that would be another thing that needs a nerf.
Obviously you haven't gotten far, bosses after first area do not get knocked down, you have to build up the stun bar in order to get that finishing move, second if you just block and don't attack they don't gain any poise break. So you have to attack them in order to build it up.

Second bosses later loves to move away from you and do long attacks that will have their bar reduced before you even have the chance of building it up. Not only that once they go second stage it is often enough time to just remove it.

Third a lot of moves bosses have will not break when you parry, so you have to parry until he breaks only to get 1 or 2 hits in. Then bosses have counter moves against parrying so have to look for that too.

If anything this parry for a soul game is the weakest one so far.
