I have tried several different characters and had them fail miserably rather quickly until I used the character with the fireballs.
Now it is just a game of kiting. Go into first dungeon and
Step 1: Lure enemy back to dungeon entrance.
Step 2: As soon as he is in range fireball him once.
Step 3: Step outside the dungeon (they don't follow).
Step 4: Take a steps away, two step back and then go back into the dungeon.
Step 5: Go to step 2. Lather rinse repeat.

I tried the crossbow, I tried stocking up on items like food and bandages.
I would like to see someone post a video showing a successful start past the first two main missions with no kiting.

For the brewery 2nd mission you can kite by stepping off the map the brewery is on, no mission related enemies will follow you.

I made it to the big city, but I do not get any sense of getting more powerful and there is no sense of accomplishment.

One hilarious issue I ran into was I rented a room in the city and when I went upstairs
I went upstairs and walked in the wrong room, an NPC walked in and shut the door and went to bed.
The door was then LOCKED and since I had no lock picks I could not leave. I had to walk 2 spaces left and 2 spaces right until it was morning. Upon waking up the NPC opened the door, walked out and SHUT THE DOOR behind them.
I was trapped in the room, and guess what? The fireball spell would not target the inside of the door. So I could fire at the space in front of the door, but I guess since I was inside the room, I could not actually target the door at all.

Final incoherent thoughts:
Love the concept, hate the implementation.
Since the time progression seems to be tied to your character moving, why are there not aimed shots? If someone is chasing you can you try to shoot them in the leg or foot and cause them to chase after you slower? Why not have running or walking? That way stamina would play a role in your ability to win a fight by outwitting and outmaneuvering your enemy?

It is in EA, and it has potential. Looking forward to seeing it improve.

As doing the playtest, I noticed that the scroling up correspondet to "W" doesn`t work. In the demo this worked fine.

It was historically accurate, they were being desynced because they reached the border of the flat Earth.

Just be glad you're getting a new Silent Hill piggy. Who cares if it's developed by a Chinese studio when the core of Silent Hill is a Japanese perspective on Western horror? Who cares if enemy design looks generic af? Who cares if Akira's signature scores/sound design is completely absent? You have the fog and scary stuff so you better be happy it isn't 90$.

me and my bud got the freezer during hydroplant (midway through the game a great time to get it)

me and my bud split jobs he was the main chef and by the time we got to hydroplant we had the convection oven and oven 4000 unlocked and was making a lot of food constantly.

me and my bud set up a water farm at the pool where we could boil 1500 water per cycle. so if we sat there for 5-10 minutes we would have 5000-15000 water casually to use in wooden barrels

the moment we got the water filter (in manufacturing super early on in the game might I add) we then had INFINITE water and never had to think about it again.

if anything I think water is WAY too generous and should be harder. water filter is way too overpowered and completely makes any other water mechanic pointless. and you get it too fast.
