There's less recoil in BF4. The guns in BF6 don't need crazy recoil because there's bloom, the longer you fire the more your bullets are off target. In BF4 your bullets hit exactly where you were aiming.

Bloom is absolutely necessary for a BF title because it defines the effective ranges of the various guns. Burst firing is and should be required for long range engagement with most guns.

Might even help reach out to new audiences if they can include certain Swat related movie moments as potential DLC maps, nothing immersion breaking just a replica map/scenario and maybe a Sticker/Patch for your character upon completion. Even utilising the evidence room for references to items that may have been seen in those scenes

I don't even care what it does. to me its like if I bought a premium car and was then told I have to install the wheels myself....its not that I cant do it, its that its not my responsibility.

I would rather live with the game as is, with no fixes, than have this developer/publisher ever patch or touch the game ever again.

Best thing that could ever happen to ARK would be a company with competent leadership and developers to acquire the series.

If you compare ARK when it first dropped to ARK now they did almost nothing with the game. ARK has to be one of the most bizarre stories in gaming where you have this generationally good idea for a game idea for a game that is beloved by fans even though it's always been unoptimized trash that doesn't even run well on bleeding edge hardware and the developer does absolutely nothing fans want, ever, and only chases money. Imagine how much more amazing this game could've been with any dev with any degree of competence that wasn't driven purely by blind greed?

There we some really mind blowing bugs with SP, like resources not respawning (I have to fiddle with config files to ever get it to happen) and much like ASA, ASE was never optimized worth a ♥♥♥♥ and only runs well now because we have computers jacked up to choke on ASA that now handle ASE better but it's not like ASE was ever actually optimized. Those are the only things I ever wanted fixed.

That and leave modding alone because it's the only reason to continue playing the game. Nobody still playing ASE is sitting around going, man, it's been years, I wish they would randomly patch in some content nobody ever wanted while wreaking on modding.

You are a wild and crazy guy. I can't imagine playing vanilla ASE. The very notion is uncivilized. You may as well be playing ASA if you're that willing to suffer - it at least has a few new UI changes that took someone 5 minutes to steal from modders.

Even you don't mod you can configure your game to have less brutal tame and hatch times. I play with mods, run my own dedicated server just for me, and have it tweaked to exactly how I like it (and you can do the same for single player). T Rex takes maybe 20 minutes to grow to maturity after taking 5 or less minutes to tame (and I use a mod for stronger tranq arrows so I only need to shoot it single digit times instead of a moronic 50+ times to put it down).

I played vanialla unmodded ARK co-op and did my share of 12 hour tames of high level spinos and other stupidity that I will never, ever do again. I can't believe so many of us did that and some people still do. Sitting around watching a dino tame in ARK for 12 hours is the very definition of needing to get a life.

I had to read wiki's, do a rain dance, sacrifice a chicken, and spend a bunch of time screwing around to get my server "just so" - today I could probably spend 1 minute describing what I want to ChatGPT and have it whip out the config files. Haven't tried this but it would not surprise me if it can do it.

I'm 57, do corporate development, and no longer have time or desire to sit around doing tedious nonsense in video games. I have my ARK tuned so I spend my time doing the things I like doing - taming dinos to breed - and then have mods and settings to both automate the tedious parts of breeding and make it happen in a reasonable amount of time.

THIS is the reason ASE is so great and why people still play it and despise what the asshats are doing with Aquatica - they are ruining a good thing - it's on par with the scumbags at Bethesda messing with modding for long living games - that are only so long lived due to the modding scene enabling players to play the way they want instead of under the moronic constraints of the devs that can't even fix simple bugs over 10 years.

Once you start fiddling with things and tuning the game to your liking you will never look back and never accept vanilla settings again.

Simple answer - it was never supposed to be there.

The mushroom stays in your hotbar forever

Can't seem to get my mouse to work! Works fine in menu and Windows, But soon as I load into the game. Player just pans to the left and down to the floor!! Any Ideas why this would be!!

So normally I don't have an issue with games running on 30FPS as long as they start that way since at least I know my rig can only handle that much. Stellar Blade though has the issue that when I start a game it runs at a smooth 60 FPS, but over the course of an hour it incrementally slows down, first to 40 FPS, and then to 30 FPS, sometimes dipping into 21 FPS. The only way to recover my performance is to restart the game, which obviously isn't really something I'd like to do. I've had this issue both on High and on Medium settings.

Already did stuff like install various engine.ini and what not, and still doesn't fix my issue. Anyone got some fixes they can suggest.
