After ungodly amount of time spent in all From games i was reluctant to try this one because i thought it would be too fast and schizo...well i was wrong. Game is great. From doin good job with making games. Just my 2cents...

Yes, it's stuck on the CG scene, the scene starts but doesn't progress after a certain point. I've tried reloading and that doesn't work, even tried starting over but that's a no go as well. I'm actually enjoying the game and the story so I'm happy about the progress.

They are either bullet sponges or they die with one shot. There seems to be great inconsistency with them. They also have infinite ammo and grenades and will just shoot non stop at where they think you are. I tried it for almost an hour, non stop bullets and grenades.

Context:

My wife absolutely loves this game and has played it for several years, again and again, whenever new updates come out and wishes for me to play it too. I would buy and play it, the concept of the game is not the problem for me. Especially now that it got the multiplayerupdate she is very hopeful for us to be able to play this together... HOWEVER.

I have not once seen her play through this game, without the game randomly freezing, crashing, completely bricking her PC, so you had to menually cut the power for the PC to turn off, as not even holding the powerbutton for several seconds did anything, lots of optimization problems, constant translation errors and much more.

I would really, really, really love to play this game with her. But I personally do not want to play a buggy unfinished mess of a game, that has to potential to break my entire PC.

I am able to fix smaller problems, as a PC no longer starting or giving errors and whatnot, especially using the internet and I had to do this multiple times, over different PCs by now, because of this game for her, as she is unable to do it herself.

It already starts in the main menu. Why does the game eat so many resources, just opening the menu? All the fans start up and have to cool the machine down, even though NOTHING is happening yet. I can play CS2 in max settings without the fans even ever starting up. How can this games main manu eat more resources already, than a fully maxed out settings CS2 game? The optimization must be incredibly bad for a game like that to eat as much power as it does. Not to mention that it happens while playing too at some points. Well if it is happening at all, it should only be happening while playing. Not while in a menu in the first place, and also it should not be happening while the game is being minimized. Which is also the case.

I have been telling her since day one, that I will play this and that I am just waiting for all the kinks to be ironed out and that the game gets optimized well enough, that I can be sure it won't crash on my while playing. But it has been years by now and no progress whatsoever has been done in that regard.

No, not only that, but after the latest update she has EVEN MORE crashes than ever before. At least they don't brock her entire PC anymore, but the game just turns off or fails to save and freezes and all that stuff. She's always sending the crashreports, but as these things never got fixed, I doubt that there even is any point in her, sending them at all?

I don't even own the game myself and I am mad. I am mad, because it makes my wife sad. The game she loves the most is the game that also gives her the most problems. It is just cruel.

You most likely allready are in the current maximum.

We solved it at some point by first checking to see if my mate's save worked, he did, then he said it was on another day. Strangely enough, I loaded an old save and we played from then on... it's not that great, but it's better than waiting 100 years for something to get patched
