It seems he mostly just reposted changelogs and forwarded bugs / ideas. Steam bug reports where going ignored until the window where he left so it was just the discord chat. I think in game reports go directly to the devs from the way the post phrased it. My hope is this is more of a "fine ile do it myself" moment. As the discord news posts are still coming just from a diff acc and the aforementioned steam comments / changes based directly off bug reports here happened within that window.

Listening too much to the loud people in the forums/other areas will only set this game down a path of ruin. Instead, try playing the game yourselves more to truly understand what needs work

Exciting development and congrats! Shipbreaker is definitely a game that I really enjoyed. Looking forward to more in the hardspace universe!
