Coming here from a random video that basically summed up the pricing to that you get all content of an expansion for just 20 bucks. Which is the fairest monetisation ever, just how two decades ago companies released DLCs to continue improving a base game and didn't force players to spend hundreds and upwards under the guise of free to play.

Definitely looking forward to trying it out.

Calling it misogynistic is laughable. Wanting an option to turn off female voices isn’t excluding anyone -- it’s personal choice. They’re still there by default for anyone who wants them. That’s not misogyny, you’re just stretching the word. The smartest move? Just let players pick their soldier and move on.

In fact I also have another, more broad question, the answer to which might be highly subject to opinion, but would you guys say that masteries and skills are pretty well balanced? I love games that really care about balance, and also games that deliberately don't because things are meant to be skewered by design. Not sure what the case is here.

I ask because from my newbie perspective it seems like some skills are clearly superior to others, even within the same mastery. My current Witch Blade uses Sigil of Consumption for one of the aforementioned role-playing reasons, but practically speaking, it seems to me that Bloody Pox is overwhelmingly superior since, unlike Sigil of Consumption, it isn't a static area of effect, it actually spreads from enemy to enemy, and it's far more deadly. I don't feel that the life steal of the sigil makes up for that. But that's my newbie take on that example, and I could be totally wrong.

There's no "real" advantage to any of the vanilla wifes, it's mostly personal preference.

Well, a tiny bonus might be the "Lover's Comfort" blessing you get for sleeping in the same bed as your spouse. If you're rarely home, then it might make more sense to marry your main follower, and among those, housecarls have the highest max. level (50).
