Also your post is basically:
assumption based question immediately followed by ill-mannered remark that is the result of your own chosen answer. This is projection by definition

He wasn't alone though. So clearly the game has a few kinks to sort out. The "maniac" should've said "Well I can hear others in there, you're lucky." instead of like "Well I'm coming in then" and then you get game over, even when you're not actually alone.

Tried this as well and was kinda stunned it wasn't actually coded in that the maniac would either get his ass kicked by me and my roomies or refuse to come in due to me not actually being alone.
More or less this.
The people who are defending the instant game over & restart from beginning are basically standing for narrow-minded and anti-exploratory playstyles in gaming. It was interesting to pick your own answer to the visitor; and getting killed is not a problem, but forcing an entire game restart is. It's just a very lazy part of the game that was left undeveloped. It could play out in many different ways rather than that.

Do you even remenber what did you said? You are complaining about the game restart from the beginning after getting killed by the Smiley Visitor, you choose to say you are alone, the game warns you not to, I SAID i could agree about the restart from the beginning, but it is a demo. What? You are afraid of restarts?
